📜 ABOUT THE PACK

Titans of the Void: Ascension is a dark action-RPG survival experience for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) that transforms the base game into a brutal, atmospheric, boss-driven adventure. Built around a carefully curated collection of ~290 mods, this pack is a complete overhaul where hunting legendary bosses, mastering forbidden magic, and exploring hand-crafted dimensions are the heart of the experience.

Every system is interconnected: the bosses you slay grant you power, the magic you master defines your combat style, the dungeons you raid feed your progression, and the customized gear you forge is endlessly upgradable. No two playthroughs — and no two players — need to look the same.

This pack was built to be finished. A sprawling quest system of 1,000+ quests across 26 chapters guides you from your first wooden sword all the way to confronting the ancient powers sleeping at the end of the universe.

🧭 THE THREE PILLARS

1. 🐉 Bosses — The Titans

Ascension is a boss hunter's paradise. You won't just fight monsters — you'll hunt titans. Each one is a wall that demands preparation, strategy, and builds:

L_Ender's Cataclysm — colossal, cinematic boss encounters hidden inside massive dungeons (The Netherite Monstrosity, Ignis, Harbinger, the Ancient Remnant and more), plus the Cataclysm Fortresses addon that scatters their arenas across the world and the Cataclysm Reimagined resource pack that gives every encounter a proper visual overhall.
Brutal Bosses & Block Factory's Bosses — ruthless mini-bosses with deadly mechanics that spawn in the wild, each with "Perfect" variants for players chasing the ultimate challenge.
EEEAB's Mobs — a cast of haunting, high-difficulty bosses and guardians with dramatic, multi-phase fights.
Mowzie's Mobs — the fan-favorite elemental titans (Frostmaw, Ferrous Wroughtnaut, Umvuthi) demand mastery, not luck.
Alex's Caves & Alex's Mobs — wild, thematic biomes packed with bosses from the abyssal depths to prehistoric jungle caverns to a psychedelic candy dimension.
Aquamirae — a full oceanic storyline: the Captain of the Sunken Vessel, the Mother of the Labyrinth, and Maw, the Hunger.
Saints Dragons — an entire dragon-taming RPG with six dragon breeds (Earth, Storm, Fire, Infernal, Water, Deep-Sea) culminating in a legendary dragon and a secret ending.
Cataclysm + Ender Dragon gauntlet — the reworked End (see the Asteroid Belt below) turns the Ender Dragon into a recurring, escalating threat.

🎁 Every boss you slay leaves a mark. Defeating bosses grants themed "Boss Rings" — powerful relics that give +200 Max Mana, +30% Mana Regeneration, and a unique passive ability based on the boss you conquered. The Wither's ring grants Strength, the Ender Dragon's grants Speed, the Cataclysm titans' rings carry their elemental essence... Collect them all.

2. ✨ Magic — The Art of Annihilation

Ascension makes you a true arcane master. At the core is Iron's Spellbooks, the definitive magic mod, expanded with a constellation of addons:

Iron's Spellbooks — a complete spellcasting system: grimoires of increasing power (Iron → Gold → Diamond → Netherite → Dragon), 100+ spells, schools of magic (Fire, Frost, Lightning, Holy, Arcane, Blood, Evocation, Eldritch, Nature), spell wheels, and a full progression of wizarding gear.
Wind Spellbooks & Galosphere Spellbooks — new schools and spells that expand your arsenal.
Arcane Essence Plus — deepens the arcane resource economy and spell growth.
GTBCS Geomancy Plus + Spell Lib — earth-shattering geomancy magic added to the system.
Malum — a darker, spirit-based magic system: reaping souls, forging sacred metal, channeling spirits, and even opening a Void Gateway.
Darker Magic — atmospheric additions for those who dabble in the profane.
Magic Combat – Spellbooks datapack — integrates every magic weapon into the Better Combat system so spellblades, staves and twinblades handle like proper action-RPG weapons.
🧪 Custom KubeJS spells — the pack adds brand-new spells: Vampiric Touch (drain the life of your enemies) and Bolt (a chain-lightning strike that arks between foes).

Your mana pool grows with you — especially if you're collecting those Boss Rings.

The Undergarden, The Midnight, Galosphere, Regions Unexplored and the bizarre biomes of Alex's Caves — dozens of new biomes across the overworld.
When Dungeons Arise, Dungeons Arise, Towns & Towers, Moogs Structures, Moogs Voyager Structures, Sky Villages, Yung's Better Structures, ATi Structures, Cataclysm Fortresses — thousands of new structures, dungeons, villages, castles and boss arenas.
The Asteroid Belt — a fully reworked End where the Ender Dragon is a recurring boss fought across shattered, space-like islands. Each victory grants you the tools to re-engage... and the "Next Generation" always rises.
A proper Nether — the Tartaro questline re-imagines Hell as a challenge zone with its own brewing, beacon and exploration progression.

Nature's Compass, Xaero's World Map & Minimap, Waystones, FTB Chunks and lootr make long expeditions practical and rewarding — every dungeon chest is unique per player, so raiding together never feels unfair.

🛠️ DEEP CUSTOMIZATION — The Systems That Make It Yours

This is where Ascension sets itself apart. A heavy layer of custom KubeJS content and integrations sits on top of the mods to create a true RPG loop:

🪄 Rarity Orbs — Forged at the Smithing Table

Ascension's item-upgrade economy is built around Rarity Orbs, crafted the classic way — at the Smithing Table:

Take an Apotheosis Gem-Fused Slate as your template.
Combine it with a Rarity Material (Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Mythic — and beyond) plus a complement ingredient.
Forge your orb: Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Mythic → Artifact → Heirloom → Esoteric.

Rarity Materials themselves can be climbed through a 2:1 sacrifice upgrade chain at the crafting table, forged from blocks at the smithing table, or purchased from the Wandering Trader, who has been given a custom trade pool.

To apply an orb: hold the orb in your off-hand, your weapon or armor in your main hand, and sneak + right-click — the item is instantly reforged up to that rarity, with its affix power scaling all the way to the top-tier Esoteric tier. The pack even auto-detects your item type (melee / ranged / armor) so the upgrade is always applied correctly.

Every legendary sword, spellblade, or rifle you find is just the starting point — the real endgame is forging it into something the Titans themselves would fear.

💎 Apotheosis & Custom Affixes

The full Apotheosis suite (gems, reforging, sockets, advanced enchanting, and a reworked spawner system) is front-and-center, expanded by Apotheotic Additions (Artifact, Heirloom and Esoteric rarities!) and Apothic Attributes / Apothic Combat / Apothic Curios. On top of that, the pack adds custom affixes:

Void Might — bonus attack damage scaling all the way from Common to Esoteric rarity.
Void Drain — a cursed affix that trades your max health for raw power.

Affixes roll on swords, tridents and heavy weapons. Your perfect sword is something you engineer, not find.

⚔️ Lethality & Material Tiers

A full materials-and-smithing RPG ties three mods together — Terramity, Swords of Terramity and Lethality — into one coherent ladder:

🏹 Spartan Weaponry — 143 Quests of Arsenal

One of the largest quest trees in the pack teaches you the full Spartan Weaponry catalogue: longswords, greatswords, katanas, rapiers, sabers, battle axes, glaives, scythes, battle hammers, warhammers and more — each usable with Better Combat's two-handed action combat for a genuinely soulslike feel. Weapon type matters. Position matters. Timing matters.

🎚️ Difficulty You Control

Not every player wants the same pain. Ascension ships a custom difficulty selector (Easy / Medium / Hard) — pick your level of challenge, and the pack's custom mob-health scaling system (tuned per-mod across vanilla, Cataclysm, EEEABs, Aquamirae, Terramity, Iron's Spellbooks and more) adjusts the threat accordingly. Bosses also have cyclic invulnerability windows so they feel like real fights, not punching bags.

🎭 Cinematic Entry

You don't spawn like a normal adventurer. Your journey begins with a custom RPG intro — you're dropped from the sky at the world spawn in a dramatic, safe free-fall before your adventure truly begins.

🧭 THE JOURNEY — Early, Mid, Late & Endgame

🌱 EARLY GAME (Hours 0–15)

Survive the wilds and learn the fundamentals. Follow the World of the Mortals chapter — a full vanilla-progression guide from your first log to your first Nether trip. Then branch out:

Apotheosis basics: hunt your first gems, learn to reforge, and build your enchanting setup with Apotheosis Secrets quests.
Iron's Spellbooks: The Wizard's Journey — build the Arcane Anvil, Inscription Table, and craft your first grimoire.
Alex's Mobs & Alex's Caves: complete the living bestiary and explore the first of the mysterious caves.
Spartan Weaponry starting arsenal and your first Terramity pistol.
Begin collecting Boss Rings from vanilla bosses.

🏹 MID GAME (Hours 15–40)

The world opens up. The skies call:

The Aether & Deep Aether: claim the floating islands, defeat the dungeon bosses, and ride Moas into battle.
Blue Skies: conquer Everbright and Everdawn, farm their gems, and face their bosses.
The Otherside (Deeper and Darker): descend into sculk-infested horrors and hunt the Warden.
Cataclysm: begin tracking the great dungeons and their cinematic titans (Fortresses, Netherite Monstrosity, Ignis, Harbinger, Maledictus).
Aquamirae underwater storyline, Malum spirit magic, and your first dragon egg from Saints Dragons.
Advance your Terramity / Swords of Terramity ladder into Iridium and Nyxium. Raid When Dungeons Arise structures for upgrades and treasure.

🌌 LATE GAME (Hours 40–80)

The real grind begins:

The Voidscape: unlock the mysterious void dimension and climb its five equipment tiers (Voidic → Corrupt → Titanite → Astral → Ichor).
Reach the top of the Terramity material ladder (Hellspec → Void → Conductite) and craft legendary blades like the Murasama, Hero Sword, Yoru and the Sword of the Imprisoned.
Master Lethality — forge every cursed and legendary weapon, stack affixes, and perfect your gems.
EEEAB's Mobs endgame bosses and the Mowzie titans await.
Finish the Tartaro Nether exploration and beacon progression.

👑 ENDGAME (Hours 80–150+)

Ascension's true endgame:

The Asteroid Belt: liberate the End. Fight the Ender Dragon and its successors across the shattered space-islands, defeat the End Master, and reclaim the End Cities.
Apotheosis Secrets — full mastery: max-level enchanting, custom spawner crafting, and affix perfection at the highest rarities.
Cataclysm endgame challenge and the terramity endgame quests (including the infamous "Most players quit here").
Saints Dragons secret ending: raise the Legendary Dragon and unlock the pack's hidden finale.
Hunt the Lethality Void-tier weapons (Void BAFS, Nightfall, Grievance) and every Boss Ring.

❓ FAQ

Q: Is this playable solo? — Absolutely. Every system, quest and boss scales for single-player.

Q: Is this good for a small server / SMP? — Yes. FTB Teams, Ranks, Chunks, back-ups and lootr (per-player loot) make co-op raiding smooth and grief-safe. Boss Rings and quest rewards are per-player.

Q: Do I need a beefy PC? — The performance layer helps a lot, but with 10 dimensions and hundreds of bosses, a mid-range PC with 8–12 GB RAM is recommended.

Q: Can I change the difficulty later? — Yes — use the Difficulty Setter at any time to re-tune the pack's challenge.

⚠️ NOTES

Orb Altar — the Orb Altar block is currently disabled in this version. Orbs are crafted exclusively through the Smithing Table as described above.
EEEAB's Mobs — this mod is unfinished. Many of its features and mechanics may not have their full functionality implemented yet, so some objectives in the EEEAB's Mobs FTB Quests chapter may not be completable in their current state. It's the mod, not you.
