Have you ever wanted to go on swashbuckling adventures with your friends?
Do you have a special interest in pirates?
Well you have come to the right place, my friend! Welcome to The Odyssey, an absolutely huge modpack that is perfectly designed to help you and your friends succeed out on the water. We have new weapons, enemies, places to go, things to see, things to do, and so much more! You can make a band of misfits and have swashbuckling adventures, or form factions between each other and fight to the death! There's over 100 mods in this modpack, so the sky truly is the limit! Let me give you a short list of all the great things the pack does:
- Custom Races! There are a total of 15 new races to choose from thanks to the origins mod, and 13 of them are custom-made for this modpack
- Multiple questlines! There are 3 questlines you can follow that will give you a steady stream of rewards!
- All sorts of features that enhance how you interact with players! These could be as huge as in-game voice chat, or as small as player heads appearing next to text messages
- Special resource packs that enhance the pirate theme! Many of these have been slightly modified by myself so that they don't change the bows or crossbows so that they can highlight...
- New flintlock weapons! They functions very similarly to crossbows, but they have higher damage and shoot slower! It's also highly recommended you use the resource pack flintl0ck by scarecrow01
- Craftable ships! Yep, you can make multiblock ships that can actually sail, and even flying aircraft if you want!
- There's so much more that I can't mention here! Like new enemies, items, structures, shipwrecks, and even a new boss!
Just know that this modpack is specifically designed for servers of people. You can play it solo if you'd like, but playing with other people is this mod's bread and butter. Unfortunately, this mod is not compatible with optifine, but that's alright! You don't need optifine to have a good time. I'd also like to give my thanks to kalam0n and scarecrow01 specifically for making those awesome resource packs. Those two made the Grimdark Pirate pack, and the Pillager to Pirates respectively. Those resource packs are unable to be toggled off, so your lovely names won't appear in-game, and I also slightly altered them so that they don't affect bows and crossbows. And thanks to every other mod creator and resource pack creator as well! These mods are some of the best I've ever seen! With all that said, happy treasure hunting fellow pirates!
