v1.4 — The Subterranean Shift
This update completely retools the atmosphere of the Abyss. We’ve traded "jumpscare" monsters for deep environmental immersion and a more visceral, "souls-like" death system.
World Generation & Atmosphere
Caves and Caverns: Ravines now reach ddown to bedrock, allowing easier access to the caverns.
Cave Dust: Added environmental white-noise particles. The air in the deep now feels heavy, dusty, and ancient.
REMOVED — Cave Dweller: The Dweller has been banished. Your primary subterranean threats are now the Sculk Horde and the psychological toll of the dark.
Death & Respawn Rework
Skeleton Corpses: Your death is no longer a simple chest or loot bag. When you die, a Skeleton remains in the world, posed to simulate how you died (frozen, fallen, etc.).
Retrieval: You must reach your remains to recover your gear.
Disposal: If you wish to clear the area, these skeletons can be punched to be destroyed.
Death, Fly Me to Tomorrow: Dying now advances the world clock to the next day. This simulates a long period of unconsciousness and resets surface blizzards.
HereSpawn: You can now respawn exactly where you died.
Warning: This puts you immediately back into the danger zone. Be ready to move.
Undertale Death Screen: A new, thematic death sequence to keep your "Determination" high.
Day Counter: A new HUD element tracks how many days you’ve survived the Divide.
Integration & Content
Caves Delight: Full integration between Farmer's Delight and Alex's Caves.
You can now process the exotic flora and "meats" of the deep (like the Abyssal Chasm or Undergarden) into professional-grade meals to restore your Diet.
