- Added Immersive Engineering and Immersive Petroleum
- IE ores will not generate in the world, and all outputs of IE machines will be unified to their Thermal Foundation equivalents.
- Added Engineer's Workshop to provide a crafting table with persistent inventory. May be replaced with some kind of RedPower Project Bench-like mod in the future, or even Tinkers' with the tool module disabled.
- Added Toast Control to remove popups for recipes and tutorials.
- Added CTM.
- Added Traverse for some lightweight additional biomes.
Developer's Notes:
- ProjectE is still in the pack currently, untweaked. I want to test out how powerful it is unconfigured before nerfing it or changing recipes.
- Silent's Gems Extra Parts is still unchanged. It is possible Calculator will be removed for other reasons, so I want to finalize Calculator's place in the pack before balancing SG:EP around it.
- Calculator is still in the pack. I want to see if people use the mod enough to justify its inclusion or see if it needs tweaking to be more in line with other modifications. TeslaCore also adds some parallel energy storage blocks to Thermal Expansion, so I would like to see if one stands out as a clearly superior choice.
- Ceramics will likely be added in a future update. I wanted to focus this update on addressing some of the bigger omissions from the modlist before looking at additional, smaller modifications.
- Config files are still mostly unchanged except for compatibility reasons. The exception to this is Better with Mods' hardcore modules. The only hardcore modules which have been left on are the Beacons (which I feel gives beacons more flexibility), the Brewing (which allows potions to stack and gives potions a little complexity), Enchanting (which allows players to get enchantments from mobs with a little effort) and the disabling of player name tags in-game.
- I would like feedback on the name tag removal and the brewing changes. I feel that beacons are essentially unused in modded MC, but I understand that brewing is a core mechanic that many people still take advantage of. The player nametags are a quality of life change, but they can be easily restored.
- A few players have mentioned that they would like to see Mekanism in the pack. While I am not personally a fan of what the mod provides, I can see the appeal of the mod. I would like feedback as to what players think they could do with the mod in a pack like this and why they would like to see it included. Unlike the mods added in this patch, I feel that Mekanism overlaps with several of the mods currently in the pack. This is not a problem, but the focus of this patch was addressing major omissions in the pack's modlist. IE gets a pass because its processing chain fundamentally differs from other tech mods (focus on using few GUIs, wiring instead of block-based cables).
