You start a new world and discover the fact that you can't break an oak log with your hands , start looking for small stones on the surface and get some sticks and craft your first tools. Then you need to gather some minerals which are harder to get , craft an prospecter that will help you to gain some information about ores beneath you . After that you are able to do whatever you want , like get a full smeltery from Tinkers Construct or start a magic mod like Botania or Blood magic .
