In Client Pack:
Loading Times: Reduced by 2.5× for faster startup and world loading.
RAM Usage: Improved efficiency, now averaging 1.5–2.8 GB during normal gameplay.
CPU Usage: Reduced by 1.5× compared to previous versions, improving overall performance.
FPS Stability: Improved overall frame rate consistency for a smoother gameplay experience.
In Server Pack:
Configuration Optimizations: Major improvements to server settings, along with safe backup systems for both servers and clients.
RAM Usage: Improved memory efficiency, allowing fresh worlds to run under 2 GB of RAM and averaging 1.5–2.8 GB during normal gameplay.
Server Capacity: Optimized to support 6+ players while typically staying under 4 GB of RAM, with around 6 GB being the highest expected usage for an average 4-player server with chunk loaders and large farms running.
Startup Times: Reduced from 2 minutes 30 seconds to just 24 seconds on my test server.
CPU Performance: Reduced CPU usage by 1.5× compared to previous versions for improved server performance and stability.
Both Packs:
Using FTBbackups3 both server and client will now take world backups every 3 hours. The backup will max at 10gb before deleting previous backups, and for servers will only backup if players have been online recently, if you want to change this please go to config->ftbbackups3-(client or server)
