Description
This is the official modpack that Team Mongoose uses in their SMP series.
What is this pack?
This is just a general, lightweight, light-tech modpack. Think of what Vanilla is, with a bunch more quality of life changes. It's going to be slowly updated to help ease the team into learning mods, but without overwhelming them. So far, aside from the vanilla+ style mods, we've only delved into EnderIO. In patch 4.0+ we've added Immersive Engineering, Blood Magic, and Refined Storage.
Is this pack for me?
Well if you're trying to learn how to play Modded Minecraft then this pack may be suited for you. A lot of the 'base mods' are just vanilla+ and are easily understood, and the tech mods we've added so far are not too outrageous and encourage players to take their time and learn each one as they play.
If you're looking for a bigger pack to learn more mods, I suggest the Direwolf one, as his series is great to follow if you want to be more technical about things. This pack follows the pace of our SMP.
How often will it add new mods?
So far every other session we've added a mod or two, usually small ones that are either additional ones (like More Chickens in 4.2) or one more tech mod to ease everyone in.
