WHAT IS “SURVIVARIUM”?

Survivarium is a community-driven Vanilla+ survival server built for Minecraft 26.1.2.

Its goal is simple: preserve the freedom and familiar feeling of Minecraft survival while making the world richer, more rewarding to explore and more enjoyable to live in.

Build a home, protect your land, develop your skills, explore with friends, collect rare equipment, brew, trade or simply settle somewhere peaceful. Whatever floats your boat!

The world has been extensively expanded with refreshed terrain and a large selection of villages, towers, ruins, dungeons, taverns, mineshafts, treasure sites and other landmarks. The Nether and the End have also been reworked, giving every dimension its own environments, resources and dangers to discover.

Survivarium 26.1.2 currently features:

• A large catalogue of custom weapons, tools, armor sets, magical items, resources, decorative blocks and collectibles.
• 16 custom ores with their own equipment, recipes and progression paths.
• Hundreds of custom recipes, special drops and discoverable items.
• New creatures, biome-specific variants, custom enemies and tameable animals.
• Expanded structures and world generation across all three dimensions.
• Skills, vein mining, improved tree harvesting and additional enchantments.
• Graves, protected claims and personal loot chests.
• An integrated player dashboard and proximity voice chat.
• A complete REI catalogue for custom recipes, drops and equipment statistics.

The experience remains firmly rooted in Minecraft. Survivarium adds new reasons to explore, craft and experiment without turning the game into something unrecognisable.

WHAT DOES THE MODPACK ADD?

The Survivarium modpack is the recommended client for the server. Version 26.1.2 contains 75 carefully configured Fabric mods focused on performance, atmosphere and quality of life.

It includes improved performance, shader support, connected textures, dynamic lighting, enhanced animations, immersive weather particles, realistic sound propagation and many other visual improvements.

You will also find useful tools such as REI, Jade, Xaero’s Minimap and World Map, inventory improvements, logical zoom and custom Survivarium integrations for items, creatures and map icons.

Several shader options are included, ranging from lightweight presets to more cinematic visuals, so the experience can be adapted to your computer.

You can still join the server using a standard Minecraft 26.1.2 client. However, the modpack provides the intended experience and makes the server’s large custom catalogue much easier to understand and explore.

WHY THE NAME?

“Survivarium” is a combination of “survival” and “terrarium”.

To me, a Minecraft world is a living environment: a place where players explore, build, collect, cooperate and gradually leave their mark. The name captures that idea of a survival world growing inside its own little ecosystem.

The objective has remained the same throughout every version of Survivarium: create a welcoming place where people can enjoy Minecraft together, while regularly introducing new discoveries and possibilities.

The pack will continue to evolve whenever a feature meaningfully improves the survival experience—whether it involves exploration, creatures, items, mechanics, atmosphere or quality of life.
