Description
Superspeeed
WIP - currently supports 1.18.2 and 1.19.2 - 4, with 1.16.5 only having a normal version. 1.19.3 will not get support tho
There is a fairly big bug in the latest version! Hotfix won't come out (due to ). To fix it now turn of immediately fast (in config file), its because there is both that and exordium. my fault :(
This is a modpack aimed to improve all of minecraft's areas to run faster and not lag as much.
It speeds up rendering, general serverside, light calculation, loading, and more, and decreases memory usage and network time.
Superspeeed runs on the fabric loader, so is very light and small, so it should run on any system.
Fabric gets updated very quickly to new mc versions so mods can update quicker then i have to update this :(
There is also a pro version, to find it go into files and scroll down to the second big text box (It should say PRO in the file name and top of description)
The pro version is not available browsing in the curseforge app, so for people on it, the latest version is here (can still download with the button)
If you want maximum speed with some added features then get the pro version, if you want just speed as small as possible with maximum reliability and minimal features / extras get the normal version
Currently supports versions 1.18-1.19 and 1.16.5, with 1.18 being the main version (for now)
1.18 and 1.19.2 have pro versions and 1.18 has a server pack - more will come with time
Backports to other versions (before 1.16.x) won't happen since the main performance mods - sodium, lithium, starlight and ferrite core - are not supported on them.
Ports to forge might happen however the number of optimising mods are far fewer and most are unofficial(plus takes yonks to load) - however I will keep note on updates
Want better graphics, optifine features, or utility mods?
Either add them to the pack (already has most dependencies mods need eg. indium, cloth config), list of good alternatives is here
Or download Fabulously Optimised (not sponsored or related, just its a good pack for optifine features)
Full features
Normal version:
- Faster rendering with sodium for more fps, and better biome blend to make biomes mix faster (and nicer), along with more culling, better fps-render distance and clumps
- Improved serverside performance with lithium, very many players and krypton
- Fast launching with smoothBoot and lazyDFU
- Load faster into games with fastLoad
- Use less ram with ferriteCore (also lazyDFU)
- Get less lag spikes and generate worlds by optimizing the lighting engine faster with Starlight
- Render much more entities (and blockentities like chests) with entity culling and enhanced block entities
- Reload faster with language reload and dynamic fps
- Get a fancy options menu with sodium extra and reese's sodium options
- and more
This can be used as a high performing base for most fabric modpacks, as most mods should be compatible (or for your personal client pack).
PRO version (includes normal version)
- Rapid launching with the addition of dashLoader
- Lots faster redstone with Alternate Current (changes vanilla slightly to be more predictable)
- Even faster serverside and loading with C^2ME and ServerCore
- Dynamic performance optimisations to keep MSPT low (again changes vanilla)
- ForgetMeChunk lets you load chunks faster
- Use shaders with Iris shaders (with so much performance you might as well)
- and more
How to use replay mod with the pack
-
Replay mod supports all mods in this pack (as far as I have tested) but there can be a single change you have to make
First; download the right replaymod version here and put it in your mods folder (for curseforge is in {your home folder}/curseforge/minecraft/Instances/Superspeeed/mods - home folder is usually C:\Users{your name} on windows )
Then; if you are on versions less than 1.19.1, you have to download the compatible sodium version for replaymod (same download page; should be big show compatible Sodium versions button) and replace the sodium version with that
Done.
If curseforge says there is a new sodium version, download the newest version on the replaymod page (don't update it) (If you're on versions 1.19.1 or later, you can update it, as its now compatible)
