V1.8 Changelog: Monk Class

⚔️ Balance Changes

  • Regular mob health scaling is now less intense and has a cap of 500
  • Mob spellcasting got a major rework. Now it uses AI goals. Spellcasting mobs are somewhat more difficult but they feel much less unfair
  • Trait leveling is now slower
  • Massively reduced the impact that many abilities and curio skills had on TPS. Servers with many players with many abilities should see huge gains and way less lag. The heaviest calculations were reduced by more than 90%
  • Maggots can no longer cast spells
  • Increased attack speed of Warhammer and Halberd
  • While rooted, you can now attack the root vines to destroy them and free yourself. Higher levels of root give the root vines more health
  • You can now attack Orbital Void seekers and Cursed Minefield mines
  • Completely rebalanced bows. Bow accuracy is now always 1. Arms scale projectile speed/damage and draw time. Handles scale crit chance and damage. Strings scale piercing.
  • Huge Pet AI overhaul. There should be significantly fewer issues of Pets getting bricked. More work on Pets will be done in the next update to make Pets faster and stronger as you level them up

  • Slightly reworked Unholy Oath skill
  • Bloodripper: Blood Needle damage now scales based on your last melee attack damage so it can better scale into the endgame
  • Greatly reduced the amount of blood particles spawned by Bloodripper abilities
  • Reworked Soul Siphon
  • Reworked Necromancer ability
  • Renamed Juggernaut skill to Blitz
  • Made Obelisk of Flesh trigger on key press instead of right click
  • Reworked Gungnir ability

  • Nerfed Archevoker health
  • Removed Geburah from Questline
  • Added a way to summon the Forsaken
  • Added the Watcher from Alex's Caves to the questline as a mini boss
  • Completely scrapped Dutchrat fight
  • Add Nether star to wither quest

🧰 Misc changes and fixes

  • Fixed end portal
  • Fixed the issue where skill icons would be incorrectly positioned
  • Fixed an issue where some modular weapons were not able to be leveled
  • Added parallax background to Skill Tree
  • The Quest widget now allows you to click off of a quest to close it instead of requiring you to click the X button
  • Irons Spellbooks armors can now be leveled up
  • Removed the bullet related enchantments
  • Added Soulbound enchant to the shop
  • Added Depot to the shop
  • Higher tier gem lootboxes can be bought an infinite amount of times
  • Added Orb of Reflection: Replaces the held orb with a copy of the item you used it on
  • Added Orb of Knowledge: Extracts and stores weapon level and XP onto the orb. Using the orb on another weapon will consume the orb and apply that weapon's levels and XP to the item
  • Added Orb of Rebirth: Removes all affixes on an item, including locked affixes
  • NEW Gameplay modifier: Glancing Blows: Bosses spawn with Resistance 3 and 50% knockback reduction
  • NEW Gameplay modifier: Mob menagerie: When a pillager spawns, there is a small chance that a powerful pillager will spawn with them
  • Nerfed the coin multiplier for a lot of gameplay modifiers
  • Added Raids Enhanced mod
  • Added Superior Modular mod. This fixes the issues with modular equipment spellcasting and greatly improves modular equipent tooltips
  • Added quite a few mods to improve the ambience
