You woke up here. Somewhere you think you've been before, but different; dreamlike. You still remember what you need to do: build a house before the sun sets.
Strange new features!
- Local Voice & Radio Chat (Turn off 'player nametags' in settings for best experience) - Players feel more lifelike,
- Sanity System - Uncomfortable actions, like hurting animals and being near monsters will degrade your sanity. Stay out of the dark and do not get separated, as being near players is the easiest way to stay sane.
- Smithing! (sort of) - Tools, Weapons and Armor are affected by their names. Use an anvil to change your sword to a katana. See all smithing recipes here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/grimdark-battlepack
- Dangerous World - Unlike vanilla Minecraft, you are not the apex of this world. The monsters are stronger and smarter than before. The depths are far more dangerous. The trees have eyes.
- Extended Progression - Every Dimension is reworked, and The End can only be reached through the spider-infested 'Crawling' dimension.
Survival Guide!
- The Overworld is more sparse of life than vanilla. Domestic animals are rare, structures are rarer.
- Torches can be ate by moths or broken by mobs. Lanterns are a solid upgrade.
- Craft an Atlas and Maps to map out the terrain.
- Many forgotten things exist within The Caves, tread carefully and be rewarded.
- You can build cameras, motion detectors, and secure blocks with SecurityCraft.
- Do not approach strange lights. To do so is to risk being lost forever.
- It's harder to sleep here... make sure your bed is comfortable.
- If you hear a Goat in the woods, hide.
