Storm of Worlds

Experimental
A modpack where you must venture through 4 dimensions to find the source of the incessant storm! | Includes 100+ mods, quests, multiple custom mechanics | Designed for single player and small group co-op

Description

It's been weeks and the storm shows no sign of stopping. This cannot be natural. As you got your gear and set forth, a voice began to speak, guiding you...

In this modpack, you will journey through 4 different dimensions, gathering resources and slaying bosses, with the ultimate goal of finding and defeating whatever creature brought this storm to your homeland. The progression starts off linear, but branches out more the further you get.

Key features:

  • Custom tweaks to bosses! No major mechanical changes, but these old bosses have some new tricks up their sleeves...
  • Multiplayer conveniences! The pack is accessible for playing alone or with a few friends, including some quality of life mods like Heartstone to locate other players and Cooperative Advancments so that a victory for one player is a victory for everyone.
  • Loot scaling with progression! No more finding iron tools and chainmail armor in midgame structures. All loot will be tiered more appropriately for where the structure is and how hard it is.
  • The overworld is not the beginning! The lively place you once knew is cold and dead. When you reach it, you'll be glad you didn't start there.
  • Quests! It is recommended to follow them, as they can help highlight some useful items and important steps of progression.

This is my first proper modpack and I have learned in the process of making it. I hope you enjoy it and I have many more plans for the future!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This pack is currently in open beta. It has been in progress for so long that 1.18.2 was a relevant version when it started! Development has slowed recently and I figured it would be good to release it and get some feedback. If this is well received, I have many more things on the list to add to it, including rebalancing Nether and End mobs 1-by-1, giving more attention to the quests and skill trees, and adding more custom structures.
