Starter Kit Deluxe

Welcome to the Starter Kit Deluxe 1.12.2 Modpack!

  Install this modpack using a launcher app, and then add additional content mods to jump-start creating Forge 1.12.2 modpacks!  You can also do this with groups of friends to quickly make a custom modpacks on-the--fly and play together by also using the provided server pack.

  This modpack includes numerous mods which many consider absolutely essential to creating a modded 1.12.2 (Forge mod loader) modpack.  It may be used on it's own, but more commonly, as a well performing base for adding additional content-adding mods.

Several categories of improvements are included with Starter Kit Deluxe:

-- Performance aid - With FoamFix, AI Improvements, Surge, Phosphor, and several others - many backend code processes are streamlined and improved, giving faster performance.

-- In-game overlay additions - Such as HWYLA for showing information on what you're looking at, several crafting tweak mods that add sorting buttons and mouse shortcuts, Xaero's Map and Minimap for high performance maps with a huge number of configuration options, FTB Utilities granting customizable chunk loading with multiplayer team support.

-- Popular modded utilities such as - toolbelts for hotkey equipable tools/items, sleeping bags, inventory trashslot and trashcan blocks for voiding items.  Automatic ore conversion when multiple mods provide ores of the same type.

And some other items that defy categorization!  An extremely select few universally acclaimed, and well performing, content mods have been included, but may be removed at any time without consequence.

  A server pack is published and downloadable from the project page on Curseforge.com.  It can be used on personal PCs to host your own multiplayer server for others (and yourself) to join, or be uploaded to an online server webhost providing file management. The server pack is provided in a form easy to understand and operate.  Documentation is provided within the *.zip file!

 Easily customizable main menu backgrounds and buttons.  Everything related to the buttons can be customized, including text, size, position, texture, and function.  Buttons can be added / removed.

FTB Utilities adds many in-game commands - use in-game help / info commands for additional information.  Chunk claiming and chunkloading is available!  Default settings are quite generous, and they can be customized.  Teams and ranks can be created on multiplayer servers to manage command permissions, chunk claiming/loading permissions.


The Baubles mod adds equipment slots.  They are accessible by a hotkey menu (look at in-game keybinds).  Other mods can be installed which have compatible items to place in baubles equipment slots!  In the example photo a toolbelt is equipped.


Tool Belt mod is one of the utility mods that included with Starter Kit Deluxe.  It can hold compatible items and tools and be opened with a hotkey in keybinds.  Very convenient for quickly swapping and storing tools and items without needing to take up precious inventory slots.


Champions mod is added which gives all hostile mobs a small chance to spawn as a champion of that same mob type.  They can spawn with multiple tiers of difficulty, each higher tier being more rare than the previous.  Champions have additional health, modifiers, and abilitties.  Everything can be customized in configuration settings, including chance to spawn, tiers, modifiers, and abilities.
