New Mods:
- VanillaFix
- Provides some nice performace gains and fixes a few bugs/exploits, what’s not to love?
- Hardcore Darkness
- Because it just isn’t dark enough outside at night in vanilla. Even if torches are temporary, you’ll going to need them now.
- Toast Control
- No, I don’t want or need to be told to use WASD to move for the 9001st time
- SwingThroughGrass
- You’re surrounded by horde spiders. On plains. ...does this really need more explanation?
- Ping
- “Here!” “Where?” “here?” “WHERE!?”
- Inspirations
- Tons of useful tweaks and small fun/helpful features.
- Storage Drawers
- I know you want to keep all those items in store, you filthy hoarder
- Inventory Tweaks
- Once you get used to it, you just can’t play without
- GraveStone Mod
- Lootsplosions are nice, but not in this game.
- Better Advancements
- Vanilla advancements UI kind of sucks at times. Maybe this can make it bearable.
- AppleSkin
- With tons of food rebalance taking place, it’s nice knowing how much foods actually restore
- CraftTweaker + ModTweaker
- Allows us to go full-retard with balance changes
Updated Mods
- Dynamic Trees (0.7.6 → 0.7.7d)
- Newest beta contains some improvements to world gen speed and avoids some cascading chunk gen
- Some minor bugs fixed and small features added
Other changes
- Removed vanilla flint and steel recipe. Use cheaper (although more complex) primal recipe instead.
- Removed some lingering furnace recipes that allowed obtaining vanilla charcoal without using charcoal pits (burning Thaumcraft logs)
Better with mods
- Disabled HC Modules
- HC Beds
- HC Beds was blocking Thaumcraft progression so sleeping needs to be made possible again. Luckily Primal Core offers an option to prevent setting spawnpoints thus this should not be an issue
- HC Villages, HC Structures
- Gameplay value of abandoned zone around the spawn proved to be minimal.
- HC Beds
Waystones
- Lowering waystone cooldown resulted in ability to (ab)use them without much consideration at all. Restoring xp costs and increasing cooldowns should help with that.
- Set maximum XP cost to 8 levels
- Set blocks per XP level to 160 (roughly 1280 blocks to reach maximum cost)
- Teleport button cooldown increased from 120 to 300
- Warp Stone cooldown increased from 300 to 600
- Use of Warp Stone now costs XP
- Use of Inventory Teleport Button now costs XP
Ping
- Maximum ping distance set to 128 blocks
Hardcore Darkness
- Gamma override set to 0
- Minimum block light set to be dependent on moon phase
Inspirations
- Building module
- Disabled enlightened bushes
- Disabled double flower shearing
- Utility module
- Disabled torch levers (redstone torch levers are still enabled)
GraveStone Mod
- Enabled death notes
- Death note will be removed upon breaking the grave
Weather
- Deadly storm odds changed from 1:30 to 1:45
- Weather Deflector now removes only F0/C0 storms and larger (won’t remove thunder, high wind or hail anymore)
- Weather deflector no longer prevents sandstorms
- Wind change rate dropped from 1.0 to 0.25
- Tornadoes no longer initially target players
- Cloud coverage change rate changed from 0.05 to 0.0125
- Disabled weather machine recipe
Hunger overhaul
- Hoe tool damage multiplier lowered from 5 to 2
- Hunger loss rate percentage raised from 133.33% to 200% (exhaustion is half compared to vanilla)
Antique Atlas
- Minimap no longer requires holding the atlas in hand (having it in hotbar is enough)
Chisel
- Removed charcoal blocks
Primal Core
