Server for Beginners

This modpack has been tested with Vanilla players, but works best alongside my Client for Beginners client-side modpack.

This modpack brings together a small collection of server-side mods designed to improve server performance without altering the game or preventing Vanilla players from connecting. JourneyMap and JEI are included to improve the experience of players with them installed client-side, Chunky allows you to pre-generate the world to help those who like to explore, and FTB Backups 2 ensures your server always has a recent copy tucked away, all mixed together with performance improvement and bug-fixing mods.

This pack uses the Fabric loader, meaning that it behaves very like a Vanilla server. To set up, ensure that a compatible version of the Fabric 1.20.1 server jar is installed on the server. Create a mods folder in your server and copy all of the mods in this pack over to that folder. Then just run your server and get playing!

Note: FTB Backups 2 works best if it is installed on both the server and connecting clients. Players without it installed will experience severe lag during backups, which can mean lack of access to UIs, inability to break blocks, and the dreaded lag skip, reversing travel progress.
