Supported Versions

  • 1.20.1

Several mods have been removed and more have been aded, I break down my decisions below with the lists.

Mods Removed:

Xaero's Minimap

Xaero's World Map

XaeroPlus

- I decided to remove Xaero's map mods since they didn't really fit the theme of the modpack. Too many features allow the player to bypass exploration and get to where they want to be without any challenge. I've replaced it with a much more balanced map mod that is less powerful but just as configurable.

Pure Copper Tools

- Due to a mod I added for difficulty progression this mod actually ended up becoming far too powerful, allowing the early game to be essentially skipped where I didn't want it to.

Question Duck’s Ambient Fireflies

- To combat some performance issues I removed this mod, it added several unnecessary items and there is plenty of life and ambiance already.

Mods Added:

Map Atlases

- The replacement mod for Xaero's maps. If tuned with the configs I set it should be more involved with the actual game, rather than just providing a ton of information with no drawbacks. Entity radar is off, you need to input maps after the initial 10, and you have to have the book on your hotbar for the minimap to be active. This is all customizable so if you find it too little information for your tastes (or too much with the minimap) then you can edit it all yourself in the config files.

Do a Barrel Roll

- Self explanatory, a neat mod that makes Elytra flight much more intuitive.

Trowels fork

- To help building natural themed builds without as much stress on texturing.

Snekcraft

- Snek.

Sweety’s Horse Armor Tweaks

- When paired with the other horse tweaking mods and the armors from Netherite Horse Armor CJ horses are quite good for combat and for travel.

Creator in Trails & Tales

- The only real downside to being 1.20 rather than 1.21 is the loss of this beautiful music disk. (I did not test if it works with Better Jukebox, may crash I'm not sure)

Primitive Start

- The focal point of this update. Slows down early game progression through tools and the removal of punching trees. With access to bones via. animals and the bones found on the ground from Project: Vibrant Journey, the tools are not too difficult to make day 1 but after that the grind is tougher. I will eventually tweak all of the loot tables of every structure in the game to reduce the access to bars and ores (looking at you shipwrecks) so early game tools can't be skipped.

Weather, Storms & Tornadoes

- Found there was finally a 1.20.1 port of this so had to add it in. Might cause performance issues for some lower-end pcs so feel free to remove if needed.
