The 1.0 update is finally here. Oh god, where to start.
Replaced mods followed by their replacements:
Epic Fight - Better Combat
Terralith & Continents - Tectonic
Minecraft Comes Alive - More Villagers, Villager Names, and Village Workers
Every Cosmetic Animation Mod - ParCool
Removed:
Listen, A LOT was removed and I'll be 100% honest with you, I'd remember most of them. Just know that most of them were purely visual aesthetic mods that were running performance into the ground.
Added:
AlteredDamage
Danny's Expansion
Difficulty Lock
Dynamic Crops
Infectum
Nether Portal Spread
No Unused Chunks
Undead Expansion
YDM's WeirdMobs
Almost every single config as been modified in one way or another. Most of which to improve performance, as this is meant to be a performance update, while there have been vast changes to difficulty.
With the addition of ParCool and BetterCombat, combat and overall movement is much, much, faster which made the pack far less difficult. With difficulty being a major part of this pack, I did what any smart person would do and made it even harder than it was before. Players overall damage is halved, mobs do 0.80% of their original damage, mobs attack at 1.50x the original attack rate, world difficult is always defaulted to Hard, and a large amount of new mobs with bosses/mini-bosses have been thrown in as well.
Next major update will be focused on adding Questing so that all of these new mobs, mechanics, and previous mods will all have a sense of structure and direction on what to do.
WARNING:
Start a new world after updating. There's absolutely 0 chance this update will play nice with old worlds.
Known Bugs:
Occasionally when using "/time set night" the game crashes. Not on my highest priority fix list as if you're playing in survival this won't be an issue
When using weapons in 1st person the camera and animations don't sync which result in an out-of-body look. Not exactly ideal and I'll be looking into how to fix this soon.
