SCP Site Antarctica

Item #: SCP-ANT-000

Object Class: Secure Containment Facility

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP Site Antarctica operates as a high-security containment facility, designed for extreme environmental isolation and strategic SCP housing. The site is reinforced with multi-tiered security measures, adaptive containment protocols, and joint Foundation-military coordination to ensure absolute anomaly control.

  • Sector 1 – Safe-Class Containment: Routine research and anomaly housing for low-risk entities.

  • Sector 2 – Euclid-Class Containment: Adaptive security measures for unpredictable anomalies requiring active monitoring.

  • Sector 3 – Keter-Class Vaults: Maximum-security housing for high-risk entities, requiring full lockdown protocols.

  • Sector M – Medical Division: Biohazard response teams, personnel treatment centers, and anomalous affliction research.

  • Sector S – Scientific Research: Laboratories dedicated to containment innovation, anomaly analysis, and environmental adaptation studies.

Site Antarctica serves as the Foundation’s primary Arctic containment hub, overseeing anomalies that require subzero environments, extreme isolation, or global-scale suppression measures.

Background & History

Site Antarctica was established following Containment Directive AN-42, an emergency mandate enacted after multiple high-risk anomaly breaches threatened conventional containment zones.

Due to its geographical isolation, extreme cold-based anomaly stabilization, and minimal civilian exposure, Antarctica was designated as the ideal location for Foundation experimental containment operations.

Early facility construction faced severe environmental hazards, including deep-surface instability, sub-zero containment failures, and anomalous influences linked to unidentified Arctic phenomena. However, following collaborative operations with NATO and the UNGOC, Site Antarctica was fully operational by ████, securing multiple anomalies deemed too hazardous for standard containment sites.

Since its establishment, Site Antarctica has maintained its status as a classified strategic asset, operating under joint Foundation-government oversight and serving as the Foundation’s last line of defense against catastrophic anomalies.

Strategic Containment Initiatives

Under Operational Directive AN-42, Site Antarctica enforces containment across three primary sectors:

  • High-risk anomaly preservation: SCPs requiring cryogenic stabilization, deep isolation, or multi-tier environmental countermeasures.

  • Anomalous warfare intervention: Tactical response teams deployed in global containment breaches, SCP-induced military conflicts, and rogue faction threats.

  • Advanced research & adaptation: Integrating Foundation, NATO, and UNGOC strategies to refine containment technology and crisis mitigation protocols.

Failure to maintain operational security will result in immediate Foundation-wide lockdown procedures.
