Just a fun modpack based on exploring a new and exciting version of the Minecraft world with your friends!

Description

!!!WARNING!!!
Optifine does not currently work with some of these mods, it likely WILL result in your game crashing.

There are multiple mods dedicated to increasing performance installed, and they do a great job, however you will not be able to use shaders :(

I have ultimately decided that the many mods in question are more valuable than some fancy shadows and reflections; Believe me that was a hard decision I love shaders

What's Here?  —  A Summary

This modpack was designed mainly to have a lot to explore, so as such there are multiple different dimensions, provided by Ad Astra, The Twilight Forest, Dimensional Doors, Deeper and Darker, and The Aether. While I added other dimensions to explore, I also wanted to make sure the ones we already have aren't so bland, so I made sure to add mods to improve on every part of each dimension, which means, no, I did not leave out the ocean in the overworld as I feel is commonly done. In the overworld you will find multiple dungeons and structures provided by a multitude of mods, vastly improved vanilla structures courtesy of multiple of YUNGNICKYOUNG's mods. As for the nether and the end, you will find they both have been completely overhauled by multiple mods, and they both include new dungeons, structures, and bosses to explore and fight through.

I should mention this modpack was mainly made to host a survival RP server with my friends, so it is very much a kitchen sink modpack. There is a lot to do and not much specific direction behind it, so this modpack will be what you make of it, much like any other kitchen sink modpack. There is a decent chunk of tech stuff, magic, combat, bosses, and building stuff, so I think there should be something for everybody in this modpack. My friend's all have very different tastes and I've made sure there's something for all of us here, so I think there should be something for all of you as well.

One of the main focuses when making this modpack was to minimize dull moments, and make combat more enticing, so naturally I made sure to add a lot of mods spicing up not only the combat, but also the collection of hostile mobs you will be fighting as well. I wanted the game to feel more diverse, and dangerous in combat.

In terms of the difficulty itself, well this isn't exactly RLCraft. I recommend playing this modpack on hard first and foremost. The boss fights and dungeons do pose a challenge as is, and many of them are very difficult to tackle. The overworld however is not meant to be some impossibly difficult challenge. You should have no problem surviving most nights in the overworld with fairly basic gear.

Features:

37 SEPERATE DIMENSIONS

With the addition of multiple dimension mods, the Kitchen Stink pack offers 34 new Dimensions to explore and/or exploit.

  • 12 Planets
  • 12 Orbital Regions
  • The Aether
  • The Twilight Forest
  • Limbo
  • Dungeon Pockets of the Dimensional Doors
  • Global and Local Pocket Dimensions
  • The Otherside
  • The Past (Graveyard)
  • Tropics (Tropicraft)
  • Applied Energistics 2 "Spatial Storage" Dimension

These dimensions introduce a staggering amount of new challenges, enemies, bosses, puzzles, tools, weapons and more to your Minecraft experience, as well as adding new awesome and inspiring landscapes to build on with their enhanced collection of new and exciting blocks. Overall each of these dimensions will completely transform your Minecraft experience.

Overhauled Vanilla Dimensions:

When playing the Kitchen Stink pack, you will quickly notice the stark differences between your standard Minecraft playthrough and this one. The Overworld, Nether, and End have been completely revamped to include hundreds of new structures, countless new enemies, a collection of new biomes, and more. Finding a vanilla biome or landscape in a playthrough in this modpack will be next to impossible (If not for the Nature's Compass mod). Even then you will find that your vanilla biomes are still unfamiliar thanks to the modded terrain generation algorithm in Terralith. All three vanilla dimensions, The Nether and The End most especially, have gained an incredible new liveliness that they just do not have in standard Minecraft.

Dungeons and Bosses:

Across the majority of the 37 offered dimensions there is a multitude of unique dungeons carrying countless enemies harboring that oh-so-precious loot. There are so many different dungeons that for each one your experience will be quite unique compared to the others, and you'll face different puzzles and challenges along the way. Often behind the dungeons are this modpack's many unique and challenging bosses, which enrich your journey that much more. They provide an exhilarating threat, and further, a sense of accomplishment upon their defeat — and of course actual rewards as well. If you're ever bored in this modpack just know that there are limitless dungeons you can plunder, and countless enemies and bosses you can seek and destroy.

Dungeons and Dragons:

Yeah there are dragons. There a dragons who — predominantly in the overworld but in The Nether and The End as well — will terrorize you if you get too close to their personal space bubble. These provide as an excellent new challenge as well as a great source to exploit for better weapons and equipment — provided you have the hutzpah to kill them.

Means of Transportation:

From helicopters to planes to trains to portals to teleporter waystones to even grappling hooks there are countless new ways to traverse, or avoid traversing your Minecraft world. We even have elevator technology!!! — Because who uses stairs right? \_(*-*)_/

Technology:

Bored of that plain old "Creepa, awe man," type stuff? Well don't worry. There are countless things to do on the technological side in this modpack if you're more into the industry building side of things. You can even build nuclear bombs! I'm not kidding — I actually accidentally destroyed a testing world because of a black hole I made that got too big. (Be careful with the "Supercritical Explosive").

With mods such as Create, Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2 and Refined Storage, you can make whatever machines and farms you want to do your bidding. There's not much you can't do.

Magic:

There is plenty of magic to explore in the Kitchen Stink modpack. From combat spells you can use to take down your enemies, to creatures you can tame, and exploit, to plants you can grow to get numerous strategic resources with the right preparations. If you're looking to live out your magical fantasies as Harry Potter in your Minecraft world you can absolutely do so here. You can even build your own cupboard under the stairs.

Combat:

With the addition of so many incredible new hostile and neutral mobs to encounter, it is only natural that there should be more weapons added to the sandbox, but also a complete combat overhaul as well. Better Combat is used to completely spice up how hostile encounters play out in your game, making them much more exciting and dangerous, and countless weapons have been added through mods so that you never feel like your limited to one single path of aggression throughout your game.

Villages and Building an Empire:

There are countless new village structures in the world including fully fledged cities than you can find, but that's only the start of it. While villagers themselves have been completely reworked in this modpack, you can also create your own massive new cities using MineColonies and create an empire in ways you just can't do in vanilla Minecraft

Dangerous Depths:

As a personal nitpick of mine I always have felt like Minecraft's oceans, even in its many modpacks, tend to by pretty dry in terms of content. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Subnautica, but I made sure that in this modpack, going into the ocean can be a perilous and exciting journey that you may not even be prepared for. There are many monsters that lurk beneath the surface of the water, and if you're not careful, they will bring you down with them. This ocean will feel like it's never felt before, a true mystery, a mystery which provides a great challenge in uncovering its secrets.
