Notes

  • I highly encourage anyone using this modpack to please read the changelog for any update! I'm always trying to balance this pack between mods that fit the theme so should be added and correcting any FPS / TPS lag or crash issues that come up. As a result, it's common for every or every other update to contain mod removals or additions. I'm aware that this may affect player's worlds. As always with modding, not only should you back up your world before updating but you should also prepare your world accordingly if a specific mod you use is being removed or changed.
  • I also encourage any users of this pack to let me know of any bugs that crop up during it's use. Feel free to report said issues on the appropriate mod author's github, or if you'd like I can submit the ticket for you.
  • Now that CraftTweaker is in, I'm able to fix some of the metadata that several mod authors have left off. I'm also able to fine tune recipes to fit the pack. Expect the next update to include a handful of changes regarding those recipes. For instance, it's possible for me to simply remove the Craftable Nether Star + mod by duplicating it's recipe manually via CraftTweaker. I also plan to remove Thaumcraft Gold Coin's ore dictionary reference.
  • EnderCore and Ender IO, while have been released for 1.8.9, are both not 'Release' versions (alpha and beta). The mod team has stated that their focus is on 1.9 now and the 1.8.9 version will be wholly unsupported or updated. I've attempted to test all components of Ender IO in our current pack and have only encountered a single issue. While teleporting via Ender IO methods, do not stand within blocks that don't have collision models. For instance, your client will crash when teleporting within Biomes O' Plenty reeds, however submerged within water is fine.
  • I feel Storage Network's removal is warranted by the introduction of similar and more advanced methods of the same functionality. However, that being said if I receive requests to put it back into the modpack because anyone likes the flavor of that mod over the others, then I have no issue with reintroducing it to the pack. My inbox is open to any feeback.

Current Tickets

  • Please be aware that I've already created tickets for the following issues and the appropriate mod authors are either working on it or are prepping the fix for the next update:
    • Chisel: All Blocks Break Instantly. All chiseled blocks have a hardness of 0. This means any chiseled block mined without a pickaxe will simply be destroyed, and blocks mined  with a pickaxe will be mined extremely quickly, so be very careful. Issue will not be fixed; Chisel no longer actively supports 1.8.9 as the mod author is focusing solely on 1.9+ now.
    • Correlated Potentialistics: Fluid compatibility. Suggestion for the ability of drives to store fluids. Issue is planned to be implemented in future releases.
    • Correlated Potentialistics: Satellite location textures won't update until clicked on. Terminals that access remote inventories don't update textures upon the loss or gain of power. Issue has been acknowledge and replicated by the mod author.
    • Immersive Engineering: Client crashed after crusher & other machines duplicate appearance. Block updates occurring near IE machines and other blocks will cause machines to duplicate in appearance. This induces heavy FPS lag, and if player dies within the area, the client will crash when 'Respawn' is selected. Issue has been fixed and awaiting implementation in the next update.
    • Warp Book: Client error when teleporting. Randomly, client will crash when teleporting using the book. Issue has been fixed and awaiting implementation in the next update.
