Gameplay/Content Changes:
- Re-balanced literally every piece of equipment - yes, all of them
- Durability all across the board has gone up (with some exceptions)
- Higher tier equipment's damage, protection and durability scales up more noticeably
- Amethyst shields have been removed, but...
- New shield tiers have been added alongside the default iron, some for early game, some for late game
- Shields once again block all damage, but now have cooldowns whenever one is put down or attacked,
and are able to parry attacks by shielding right as an attack is about to hit,
with higher shield tiers having longer parry windows, shorter cooldowns, and less movement speed decrease while shielding
- Netherite tools now automatically smelt mined blocks
- Electrum armour's speed buff has been slightly increased
- Crossbows and tridents now deal more ranged damage
- All pieces of equipment that can be repaired now display their repair material in their tooltip when Shift is held
- Enchantments and enchanted tablets have received a bunch of changes
- Enchanted tablets are now made by infusing blank tablets with ingredients, similar to runes
- Each enchanted tablet now has a unique item name and ID (warning: this means all tablets in existing worlds will get deleted - use them or recycle them back into amethyst shards before you update!)
- The enchantments on a majority of the tablets have been shuffled around
- Enchanted tablets now display enchantment info concisely in their tooltips when hovered over and Shift is pressed,
instead of having a bunch of cramped descriptions for all tablets in EMI
- The Bulwark, Phalanx and Leech enchantments have been removed
- The Capacity enchantment has been merged into the Respiration enchantment
- The Lure enchantment has been merged into the Reeling enchantment
- The Vitality enchantment has been reworked
- Bows, crossbows and tridents can now be enchanted with Stasis, allowing their projectiles to ignore gravity
- Marking has been renamed to Silver Eye and Homing has been renamed to Soul Chaser
- Enchanted tablets are now less likely to be obtained from fishing
- Piglins have received a bunch of changes and new features
- Piglins now have a reputation system (via Sapience)
- Piglins can now be bartered with using gold nuggets and gold blocks alongside the usual gold ingots, with
nuggets bartering for lower tier loot and blocks bartering for higher tier loot and a couple other rare items
- Added a new Piglin type: the Piglin Alchemist (via Piglin Proliferation)
- All Piglin brutes now carry a new piece of equipment: the Golden Buckler, which lets them charge at you, and has a low chance
to be dropped by them (via Big Brain)
- Piglins' health has been increased from 16 to 20
- Piglin brutes' health has been decreased from 50 to 40
- Piglin brutes' chance to drop ancient scrap has been lowered from 100% to 75%
- Piglins can now drop their heads
- Added a new material: Rubber
- Rubber can be obtained by mixing latex, zinc and gunpowder in a heated basin (rubber item and block texture made by Derb)
- Latex can be obtained very similarly to sap, where whenever you strip a jungle log, there's a chance it'll turn into a latex jungle log,
from which the latex can be bottled (latex bottle and bucket textures made by nöelle, latex log texture made by Derb)
- Rubber now replaces dried kelp in a few recipes and has been added to the recipe of some launching/bouncing-related components
- Rubber can be turned into rubber blocks, which are not only bouncy for mobs, but projectiles will bounce off of them too (this mechanic has
been moved over from amethyst blocks as it made much more sense for rubber)
- Amethyst flinger totems have been re-themed to simply be the Flinger, crafted with stone and rubber (again, textures made by Derb)
- Rubber blocks can be crafted into rubber tires, a pillar-like decorative block (textures made by nöelle)
- Latex can be used to make balloons, which can be attached to fences or entities... and even yourself
- Added rose gold apples that grant 2 random effects upon consumption (re-skinned bejeweled apples from Caverns & Chasms)
- Wildfires' health has been increased from 50 to 60
- Amethyst buds and clusters' loot tables have been reworked to make it so small buds drop nothing, medium buds occasionally drop 1 shard, large buds always drop 1 shard and clusters drop 3-5 shards
- Natural amethyst blocks can now be crushed for amethyst shards again, though for far fewer shards than before
- Soul salt and soul salt crystal recipe outputs have been re-balanced, and soul salt crystal blocks will now always drop themselves
- Sculk and related blocks now act like soul blocks, producing soul fire and speeding you up when walked over with Soul Speed
- Lumps of sculk can now be used to make soul fire related blocks, such as soul torches and soul campfires
- Cloth block dyeing recipes now match that of wool's, only dyeing a single block, however there are instead now more efficient mixing recipes that dye 8 wool/cloth at a time
- Cloth scrap to string conversion recipes now yield string more often
- All sandstone and sandstone bricks recipes now output 4
- Added an inefficient corn cob to corn kernels crafting recipe for consistency
- Oats' recipes now output fewer oats
- Oatmeal and mixed oatmeal have both been slightly nerfed
- Various recipes have been tweaked
- Runes have been moved to the Potions & Enchanting creative tab
