Description

Snowcraft Reforged now on version 1.16.4!

Overview:

This pack was inspired by several sci fi and hardcore modpacks, where it was originally intended for a group of friends, with the hopes of having fun and experiencing a greater challenge, in a pack with (our opinion) a better synergy of QoL mods.

This pack is currently developed by myself, with the interaction & feedback of my friends, on a private SMP server.

Difficulty is not locked or forced to Hard anymore. Scaling systems add enough challenge for players to not be forced down a path.

About this pack:

Hardcore SMP modpack (I know its said alot lol). Fight off against extremely difficult and terrifying enemies, in a beautiful world, but beyond this endless insanity within this world lies darker, less explored worlds teeming with mythical wonders. Or, y'know, never leave your house and become an unkillable machine before going there...

This was originally a pack with all our ideas of 'essential' mods, the main focus was QoL, and attempting to be as lightweight as possible, for an average server, which was later upgraded to a slightly better server.

After a long development period, it evolved into a Hardcore SMP pack, with the main focus on discovering unique and scary worlds, whilst facing off against the most horrifying of enemies, with the best possible experience. The only frustrations are meant to be the enemies.

This is meant to have a slower playthrough and the idea is that its going to be really, really tough. Bring friends (:

This pack is developed in Singleplayer, but played and experienced entirely on a Multiplayer (SMP) server.

We always recommend you to use the latest version.

Notes: (extended description)

  • Huge Endgame added, goodluck getting there.
  • There are tons of unique enemies, and all types of hell to face.
  • World Difficulty Scaling - Sleeping, killing bosses, running further from spawn, everything will want to kill you more.
Waystones exist, cause RPG and dungeons.
Item usage is locked behind levels, cause level up baby!
The Nether is truly hellish, and there are random horror world events.
  • Tarkov-like health system, take limb damage that is then spread around when the limb blacks (blacked head = dead).
There is both a Minimap and Worldmap, hell yeah? People complained :p
  • Worlds are NOT LOCKED to difficulty 3 (hard), but recommended for higher population servers, there still is World Difficulty Scaling and Progressive Difficulty Scaling.

  • Players can choose specializations (B) and have to spec xp into skills (Y) to actually use many items.
  • This allows players to compete against an abundance of hardcore mobs and experience different mods over time, with an intended extended playthrough.
  • This modpack is designed and encourages players to try out different parts of all the modpacks and allows for the game to be played at an array of different paces.

  • Minimum: Alright CPU & 7-8GB+ RAM (As much as you can allocate in CurseForge Settings, allocated to Minecraft)
  • Recommended: Decent CPU & 12GB RAM (Max Allocatable to Minecraft)

Disclaimer: Generating chunks can cause cascading world gen lag - this is due to some structure generating mods. Please contact the mod devs to improve generation of whatever mod is causing issues!

If anyone would like to give feedback please feel free to reach out to me on discord. Balancing is hard :p

For Server Creators:

  • The spawn protection range of the server, that prevents players from digging or opening doors, is set in the server.properties file.
  • I set the server to (spawn protection: 1) and have a global waystone at 0,0 (Spawn) for the SMP experience.
  • I have also turned watchdog off (max-tick-time: -1) to prevent idle server crashes.

Checking your ping: /ping will show your exact latency to the server you are on, whereas the tab menu shows a number representation of the green status bars next to it.
