Hardcore zombie survival pack with tech research and extremely difficult enemies

Description

PLEASE BE WARNED THAT THIS PACK IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AND IS NOT INTENDED AS A CASUAL SURVIVAL PACK

Project: Deadlight is a hardcore zombie survival pack that revolves around using the research system (default button ‘V’ to open) to unlock new ways of dealing with extremely difficult and varied zombies throughout the pack.

It is recommended that you install optifine to make use of the included zombie resource pack.

Zombies have various tweaks that make them far more formidable an opponent to deal with including:

  • Being able to spawn during the day
  • Moving much faster than normal zombies
  • Actively seeking out and breaking light sources
  • Detecting any noise the player makes
  • Spawning in much larger groups
  • Spawning with pickaxes that allow them to break blocks
  • Being able to leap over walls or other obstacles
  • Being able to hold other items in their offhand for them to use
  • Getting progressively more health and damage as certain milestones are reached
  • Having different variations to make things more difficult (brutes, mutants, and giants)
  • Occasionally spawning in massive quantities thanks to blood moons

There are also several other tweaks to regular gameplay to make the survival experience far more difficult in general.

The research tree will provide players with a means of dealing with the hordes of zombies, allowing them to unlock:

  • New weapons including swords, bows, and eventually guns
  • New modes of transport including gliders, grappling hooks, and eventually cars
  • Various miscellaneous tools such as explosives, new tool and armour materials, or traps to prevent zombies from entering your base
  • Magic through Eidolon's alchemical research, as well as unlocking terrifying bosses and new dimensions to explore.
