Description
Welcome to our Minecraft medieval modpack! Designed for server play with friends, but open to all adventurers, it blends kingdom building, strategic warfare, and political intrigue.
Mechanics and Rules:
- Sleep Mechanic: Track your fatigue with the zzs icon (E key). Sleep when fully tired (100%).
- JEI (Just Enough Items): Use the search bar (E key) to discover crafting recipes for in-game items.
- Teams and Chunk Map: Manage territories with the teams menu and chunk map (upper left). Claim chunks to protect from griefing, add team members, and wage wars.
Kingship Rules:
Becoming King:
- Craft a blueprint within a city to initiate your claim to kingship.
- Discover additional city development insights through acquired books.
- Recruit sword-wielding villagers by offering emeralds. These soldiers require regular feeding through the upkeep button (R key).
Designating Successor:
- Upon ascension to the throne, select a successor player who will assume kingship upon your death.
- The chosen successor cannot be changed once designated.
- This system allows for strategic alliances or potential betrayals, as the designated successor can inherit power even through regicide.
Succession Through Marriage and Children:
- Use the MCA (Minecraft Comes Alive) mod to marry and have children.
- A child born of the king inherits automatic succession rights, provided they are an adult at the time of the king's death.
- This mechanic adds depth by incentivizing protection of heirs and potential plots against them to manipulate the line of succession.
Continued Role as King:
- Should a king have an adult child at the time of their death, they can assume control of that character and maintain kingship.
- This unique gameplay mechanic encourages strategic family planning and offers a dynamic element to political gameplay.
Warfare and Diplomacy Rules:
Declaring War:
- Verbal declaration of war is mandatory.
- A 24-hour waiting period must pass before initiating an attack.
- The opposing king must be online at the time of the attack.
- No pillaging or attacks allowed while opposing players are offline.
War Objectives:
A nation can win a war by:
- Destroying the opposing king's fleet.
- Killing the opposing king in battle.
- Forcing the opposing king to surrender by raising a white flag.
- Post-War Options for Winners:
Winners of a war have three choices:
- Take the Town: Claim the defeated town as part of their kingdom.
- Kidnap Villagers: Transport all villagers to their own town to expand it.
- Kill Villagers: Eliminate all villagers in the defeated town.
Consequences of Options Two and Three:
- Choosing option two or three allows the defeated king to retain governance of their remaining kingdom.
- Otherwise, the victorious kingdom gains full control over the defeated territory and resources.
