Description
Planet Quest is a very large modpack made from the wishes of myself and my friends. It contains a great deal of tech, complimented by magic, and allows a variety of playstyles. You will find it quite difficult to go it alone in this pack, having friends and a community will be necessary to succeed, else you get stuck doing automation for every niche.
Become anything you want, become an android, a vampire, an allomancer, a wizard, or come up with your own combination! The sky is the limit. (or is it?) Build your spaceship with Advanced Rocketry and set out to explore new worlds, build a replicator with Matter Overdrive, suit up with Modular Powersuits, and build your orbital factories with Mekanism. Rip holes in reality and create your own, with Pocket Dimensions and Compact Machines. Power it all with Nuclearcraft or Extreme Reactors, and protect it all with Modular Forcefields and Open Modular Turrets.
Sci-fi not your thing? Thinking more about magical enlightenment? Try Astral Sorcery, for a different take on the stars. Perhaps become a Thaumaturge and harness the elements, or harness the darkness with Blood Magic. Craft mystical spells with Wizardry and store them with Arcane Archives.
Explore the world and conquer the unknown with a multitude of dungeons from different mods as well as Doomlike Dungons, Dungeon Tactics, and Roguelike Dungeons. Hop into new dimensions with the Betweenlands and Twilight Forest.
Phew... that's a lot to take in. Maybe it's time to appreciate the simpler things. Try out fishing with Aquaculture to relax, or consider some pottery with Ceramics. Design with Chisels and Bits and construct with ArchitectureCraft, using Builders Wands to make it all that much more effortless. Take to farming with Forestry, Magical Bees, Binnie's Mods, More Chickens, and so much more...
Enjoy the vast sights and sounds that the world has to offer with cosmetic mods such as AmbientSounds, Dynamic Lights, Dynamic Surroundings, Fancy Block Particles, Plants, Pretty Beaches, and Serene Seasons.
Performance-wise you need 6GB bare minimum, 8GB is really recommended. This modpack is very cpu-heavy, so you will certainly need something decent to run this. I have done my best to tweak settings and I have installed optimizations and fixes where possible, but with so many mods (250+) there's only so much that can be done.
Known Bugs:
Pigmen are always angry
VanillaFix causes golden lassos to not move animals properly (they can be picked up fine but not placed back down)
Player hitboxes seem to be somewhat broken
