v 1.1.11 Changelog
New Mods
- Despite being a relatively large modpack, Ghosts never ran especially poorly to begin with, but we're experimenting with some optimization mods to see if they can
- Sulfuric
- Magnesium
- Roadrunner
- Ferritecore
Config Tweaks
- Shiny bonuses for catch combos have been increased to a max of 6x.
- Perfect IVs for catch combos have been increased to a max of 5.
Mechanics Tweaks
- Fishing up items using the good, old, and super rod no longer requires 2 empty water tiles in all directions surrounding the bobber. This was the vanilla setting, but was too unintuitive in a skyblock. Loot is also more common (25% of the time). We will revisit the number if it turns out to be too high. You still need large spaces to fish up large pokemon, for obvious reasons. Fishing rules involving lava will not be changed.
Quest Tweaks
- Voucher System introduced for Legendary Pokemon. Basically, the mod that detects whether you beat a wild Pokemon is very unreliable. And while that's perfectly fine for Pokemon that spawn multiple times in an hour, that's not fine for Legendaries that spawn once per day and are linked to progression-relevant quests. So, now the uncatchable legendaries will drop "Vouchers," which you can exchange for eggs.
- Quest to enter Drowned Dimension now properly unlocks when one method of going there has been done (rather than only after both methods).
- Crystalline Chasm biome detection quest should now work correctly.
- Tepig, Cyndaquil, and Fuecoco nether quests both now allow capture as an alternative to defeating.
- Quests for First, Second, and Final Evolution pokemon in Nether quest chains now are named such, instead of being named after one of the Pokemon in the list.
- Upper tier Relic Crown quests properly consume ingredients.
- Quest order allows 'catch em all' slugma quest to be completed earlier, hopefully helping to avoid situations where the player has already caught multiple by the time they unlock it, and lose out on credit for those catches.
- It's slightly easier to open the repeatable end portal frame quest.
- An info quest has been added to the End Questline to draw player attention to Astral Sorcery as the origins of most end portal frames.
- Blukk berry is now a reward for mixed juices, not the green juice.
- Green juice pokeball rwards have been moved around.
- Mixed juice quests give you more (largely useless, largely cosmetic) berries.
- Quest has been added to Tips and Tricks to explain livingrock/livingwood can be used to make unique habitats.
- Most single-use in-combat items from Offerings to Arceus lifted from 5 per shard to 8 per shard.
- Amount of lenses earned per shard trade has been greatly increased, to make them genuinely useful for checking Pokemon. Note that these lenses don't stack, so be cautious when and where you turn in the quest.
- Ability Capsule removed from Ability Patch Quest. It was already expensive enough.
- Isi Hourglass quests improved, but difficulty slightly increased by using botania flowers.
- Quests that describe how to spawn alolan geodude now also mention marble and dacite.
- Drampa quest has been moved to correct location.
- Slugma quest on murk layer dependency order fixed.
- Larvitar/Tyranitar quest added to Vertical Pokedex.
- End Portal Frame rewards moved aruond to make sure they are all actually available before reaching the end.
- Botania/Druidism treefarm quest now correctly indicates a warp lens is necessary - and also provides one for your use. Drifloon is helping!
- Palo Verde quest added to tips and tricks to help players only plant it on sand.
- Wishing pieces added to a lot of high end magic mod quests.
- Text and objectives tweaked on steel rod quest to offer more hints about how to get them.
Recipe Tweaks
- Blood produced from melting a Pixelmon changed to 16mb to round better.
- Magma added as roundabout, pre-lava fuel for Smeltery. It doesn't supply much heat, and cannot melt steel, but it can get a smeltery going. It exists almost entirely to bring back the Fel Pumpkin cheese discovered by a tester.
- Orechid Ignem has had an End ore removed and some more nether ores added.
Spawning Tweaks
- If you go too long without sleeping, you will begin hallucinating unown everywhere. True story!
- Snow golem replacement spawns have been tweaked to pad out the list. Farming snow golems is still valuable (owed to all the evolved mons) but not quite as exploitable.
- Should you have the audacity to spend 4 iron blocks making an iron golem, you will have to be a level 100 uncatchable legendary. Instead of getting a super lame golurk that only drops a little clay and andesite.
- There are now a few materials (e.g. livingrock) that count as spawnable blocks but do not block the sky, meaning stacked platforms at different y levels can be built on top of one another without being counted as 'roofs.' Useful for people who like a very vertical, skyscraper style of build, and for whom the limited palette is an acceptable tradeoff.
- Drifloon's properly constrained to the Soil Layer.
- Eevee's anticonditions repaired so it stops spawning on deserts/beaches.
- Wynaut/Wobbufet properly spawning underground.
- Ralts line no longer spawns incorrectly indoors/underground.
- Morelull and Shroomish lines now are restricted to spawn at correct times.
- Joltik spawning file has been restored after disappearing.
- Wigglytuff no longer spawns on sand.
- Foretress has been properly constrained on Y.
- Cacnea and Cacturn are properly spawning only in response to cactuses.
- Certain key spawns (e.g. Marill line) have been jacked up to offset issues with "Needed Nearby Blocks"
- Floette's palettes are now assigned properly. This should prevent red floette from spawning where blue (and other colors) are expected.
- Crystalline Chasm in Nether now correctly spawns its mons.
- Mr. Rime and Mr. Mime's Subzero Hypogeal spawns have been fixed.
- Cubone Quartz Desert spawns fixed.
- Blazing Tauros Wailing Garth spawns fixed.
Drop Tweaks
- Apocalypse pokemon now drop different relic items, instead of all dropping vases.
- Mud has been correctly re-added to the fishing table.
- Gothitelle and Alakazam now drops Twisted Spoons
- Grimmsnarl now drops black glasses.
- A lot of fully evolved fairy pokemon now drop Fairy Wands.
- Bounsweet cherry leaf drops improved and Bounsweet now carries the leaves as held items.
- Pineco and Fortress Pine leaf as held item increased.
- Phantump and Treavanant now often hold dark oak and ebony leaves as held items.
- Cherrim now often hold cherry and lament leaves (percent depends on form)
- Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist chance of holding miracle seed greatly reduced (5%) and now carry nightshade leaves. The miracle seed was ironically less valuable than the leaves.
- Marill lapis drop odds improved. Marill line will also now hold lapis in hand (that can be stolen)
Species Tweaks
- Several incorrectly spelled moves (e.g. thunder bolt -> thunderbolt) repaired in move lists.
- Magcargo learns Earth Power at level 61 instead of missing it if Slugma evolves at a normal time.
- Valentine drifllon tweaked because drifblim was struggling to recognize it.
- Spiritomb has had an extensive rework. A considerable number of rock moves were added to its set along with many moves that are themed around graves, torment, suffering, imprisonment, vengeance, and hatred. Its bulk has been considerably improved, its attack stats have been slightly improved, its speed has been bottomed out, and it is now viable as a bulky trickroom sweeper or support. Its many new level up moves are given to it in a pattern that satisfies the '108' spirits flavor. 108 symbolizes the earthly desires holding us to the mortal world in buddhism. This number is a combination of 2s, 3s, and 6s; and so Spiritomb's moveset reflects that. Abilities have also been changed: Solid Rock in honor of how it used to have no weaknesses (removes fairy weakness), and Rocky Payload to get STAB on rock moves.
- Some Pokemon have had moves added to their HM list which are missing in vanilla pixelmon and are not accounted for by the 'super compatable' TMs setting (see known bugs)
- Noibat line - Defog, Fly, Cut
- Nincada line - Cut, Fly, Flash

Known Bugs
- Desert Pokemon occasionally spawn on becahes. This is an issue with Pixelmon's built in "Needed Nearby Blocks" check which is very janky, unpredictable, and doesn't like to always work the way it should. To compensate, we will increase some vital beach spawns. If you too are experiencing issues with a beach Pokemon, please let us know.
- If a wild Pokemon defeats itself (e.g. uses Self-Destruct, Explode, Memento, or dies to recoil damage), you will not get credit for 'defeating it' in the Questbook, which can lead to you missing out on quest rewards. We didn't intend this, but we also cannot change it, so we're warning about it in the quest book.
- If you aren't careful with where and how you kill drowned Pokemon for the Pixelmon NPC villager quest, Lugia can spawn beneathe your island and fly off. Be prepared!
- A number of Pokemon have an HM move (e.g., Fly) listed under TMs, but not under HMs. Although super-compatable TMs have been enabled, this only works for TMs. Not HMs. If you notice a Pokemon has Fly/Cut/Defog/Flash in is moveset, but is unable to learn it via HM, please bring this to our attention so we can have a look at the species file.
