Changelog (v1.1.3)
Quality of Life Changes
- Quests in the nether now help show players what Pokemon spawn where.
Tinkers Changes
- The material 'Therium' has been introduced as a renewable, cheap, early game tool material (harvested from Nightshade trees)
- Flint is better for heads (more comparable to stone) and worse for handles
- All bone variant tools have been lightly buffed as both handles and tool heads
- Stone is worse for handles
Multiplayer Changes
This pack is still not tested in multiplayer. However the following changes were made to try and improve the experience:
- Quests which modify islands now start with /execute as @p at @p run. The way FTBQuests work is that there is some internal replacement logic that makes @p reference the player accepting the quest.
Species Changes
- Retrograde Fluttermane added. Retrograde Fluttermane will evolve from Retrograde Misdreavus, and will be able to breed to produce new Retrograde Misdreavus. If you redeemed a Retrograde Misdreavus and have already evolved it into an old, Base Form Fluttermane, you can change your Fluttermane's form with the in-game Poke-Edit tools, and are welcome to do so.
- Flight abilities restored to Shedinja, Castform, Masquerain; they briefly lost them after the upgrade to the newest Pixelmon version.
- Sunkern and Sunflora are Grass/Fire type and have a small number of themed fire type moves.
- Chingling and Chimecho are Psychic/Normal type to gain STAB with their pool of normal moves. Additionally, they gain access to Conversion, Conversion 2, and Reflect Type to syncrhonise with how they are some of the only "Synchronoise" users. (Synchronoise deals 120 damage, but only to enemies of the same type as the user)
- There is now a Voodoo Shuppet/Banette, with a reworked stat block, appropriately themed moves, and Prankster as the Hidden Ability. Can be built as a physical sweeper or as a utility mon for PvE
- There is now a Bloodborne Duskull/Dusclops/Dusknoir, with bone and skull themed moves. Dusknoir has stats better befitting a defensive wall or Trick Room Attacker. IronFist is available as an ability, but the one the player recieves will still have Frisk because A) Hidden Abilities are harder to get and B) Frisk is useful in PVE for scouting out held items.
- The Jack O' Lantern Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist with Flame Body now has a few more fire and fighting type moves. Additionally, there is a difference between the stats of the 'microscopic' 'normal' and 'ginormous' pumpkaboo and Gourgeist.
Spawning Changes
- Charjabug changed from levels 20-35 to 20-25 to help with coarse dirt grind
- Ariados changed from levels 22-50 to 20-27 to make it possible to clear them in the early game
- Ariados spawn weight was too high; spawn weight lowered from 60 to 6.
- Phantump's raritymodifiers changed from 'minecraft:logs' (which does not work; Pixemon still hasn't fixed the 'tags dont' work' bug) to minecraft:dark_oak_logs, byg:ebony_logs, and biomesoplenty:umbran_logs.
- Pineco's rarity modifiers changed from 'minecraft:logs' to 'minecraft:spruce_log'
- Treavanant's required block changed from 'minecraft:logs' to a composition condition of 'minecraft:spruce_log' 'byg:ebony_log' and 'biomesoplenty:umbran_log.' Any of them will allow Treavanant to spawn. Treavanant will also be attracted to soul torches irrespective of log presence.
- Burmy form: plant and trash spawn rates scaled from 120 to 90.
- Wormadam and Burmy spawn areas have been corrected, with regards to rain/sun and indoors/outdoors. Rain drives burmy and Wormadam indoors. Plant versions can be found on trees, out of doors, and underground. Trash versions can be found on manmade structures or indoors.
- Cherrubi/Smoliv spawn chance weight (40) switched with Spinerak's (60)
- Duskull drop rates tweaked. Hemp fiber guarenteed, rotten flesh drop changed to bone.
- Misdreavus and Duskull now spawn at levels between 6-16, instead of 25-33, to make them more accessible in the early game.
- Phantump (not including the early game Phantump spawned using the pixelmon spawner) now also spawns at levels 6-16, to make them comparable with Misdreavus and Duskull.
- Shedinja spawns have been reworked to try and reduce the sheer quantity of grouped Nincada they produce.
- Flying Shedinja spawns with Alter Palette and unique drops, including darkthread.
- Klefki spawning levels lifted again to make them a challenge, given that they produce a good amount of metal.
Drops Changes
- Some early game Pokemon (Drifloon, Nincada, Burmy) have a chance at dropping soul soil, giving you some tools to expand your early game outdoor habitats.
- Grubbin changed to guaranteed coarse dirt drop
- Coarse dirt added to Charjabug drops.
- Rotten flesh added to Spinerak/Ariados drops
- Ariados spider eye drops guarenteed
- Litwick and Lampet have higher chance of dropping fire stone shards, blaze powder. Asking someone to defeat 90 litwick for a single fire stone was ridiculous. One now needs to fight on average 18.
- Misdreavus dusk stone shard drops slightly increased
- Sinistea and Polteageist drops lightly reworked; sugar and terracotta is higher, ghast tears lower
- Chandelure has higher chance of dropping fire stone shards, blaze rode; lower chance of dropping dusk stone
- Hatenna chance of dropping leather hat higher.
- Gastly drops lightly reworked. Chance of ghast tear increased, HOP Graphite Dust drop added.
- Rapidash has guarnteed chance of dropping one blaze rod, to reward players who set up a habitat for it.
- Smoliv drops reworked. Wheat seeds removed because they interfeered with farming questline by making it unnecessary to spread grass around. Smoliv now drops plant oil and strib berries.
- Glowstone drops reworked so Charjabug has less; Tynamo, Chinchou have more.
- Alter Shedinja given unique drops entirely different from regular Shedinja, including dark thread binding, canvas, and rotten flesh.
- Baltoy drops tweaked; clay now guarenteed to drop
- Bone drops added to shuppet and increased from Banette. Rotten flesh already dropped from both; the implication is someone's hand was in the puppet when it reanimated D:
- Bone drops added to trubbish and increased from Garbodor
Held Item Changes
- Sweeping changes to held items; Pixelmon either recently gave us the ability for Pixelmon to hold things that aren't defined as 'held items' or else we recently just discovered they've had it for awhle after rebooting. For other modpack developers, we noticed that it was not enough to type /reload after adding something like minecraft:soul_dirt to a Pokemon's list of held items; /reload was enough after adding, say, a pixelmon:oran_berry. For soul_dirt, we had to actually reboot the game.
- Because Pokemon can now hold things other than 'held items,' the value of moves like covet and thief has increased accordingly
- Examples include Cherubi holding an extra unit of cherry leaves, nincada often carrying a peice of soul soil, grubbin holding an extra unit of coarse earth, litwick having a chance to hold blaze powder or fire stone shards, etc.
- Expect more changes to held items in the future
Quest Changes
- Crafting Upgrade correctly gated behind Upgrade Base
- Dark Oak Quest accurately waits till you have 4 Dark Oak Saplings
- Tree Quests added for Lament, Cherry, and Nightshade trees
- Duskull Tips and Tricks Quest triggers differently, so you don't have to manually submit
- Steal an Item corrected to only require one completed precursor depedencey
- PC now requires a ghast tear OR rotten flesh OR spider eye
- PC quest now correctly kicks you out of the GUI first, and a second quest, a second later, will actually open the PC (Big relief that FTBQuests respects /closeguiscreens!)
- Gambling Quests changed to correctly consume items.
- 3x Waterbottle (Dump the Water) quest now works properly.
- Dump the Water quest now can also dump water onto flowing water blocks, making it easier to fill in pools.
- All Egg Quests from 'Offerings to Arceus' have been revamped with added egg moves.
- 'Catch Sinistea' quest has been renamed "Recieve an Egg,' and the requirements have been reframed to make it clearer what it needs
- Quest to defeat Vileplume rewards egg.
- Quest to defeat Forretress rewards egg.
- Quest to defeat Ferrothorn rewards egg.
- Quest to defeat Dragapult rewards level 1 dreepy.
- Spelon berry quest now repeatable.
- Kelfki separated from the low level Pokemon quest; new quest added just for Klefki. Egg added to quest to offset fact that Klefki can no longer be captured at low level.
- Incorrect Dependencies fixed on two deep dark quests in the Vertical Exploration Chapter
- Quests that used an OR filter to request certain materials of tinkers parts have been turned to multi-task quests where only 1 task is necessayr, instead. This is because they weren't respecting NBT, even when told to.
- Aurinium quest now accepts parts as well as ingots, and grants another copy of TR Aura Sphere
- Defeating Eiscue gets you a Delibird egg; levling both an Eiscue and Delibird to level 100 gives you a Shiny piplup with perfect hp, def, and spdef ivs.
- A quest to make the XP tome has been added to Tips and Tricks; Completing it gives you an EXP Share, a valuable item when dealing with so many eggs.
- Nether Quests expanded to include Pokemon lists, so Players can determine what spawns where, and to give rewards for finding and fighting Pokemon, not just the biomes; typically this turns 1 quest into 4 or 5
- Around 7 Nether Biome Quests added, for missing Biomes.
- 'Leaf' quests added for each of the leaves the Player can steal at the beginning of the game, and their respective saplings. Also includes a 'Leaf Expert' quest with Magical Leaf as the reward
- Added Necronium Bone quest to Witchcraft line that includes Poison Jab as a quest reward. Necronium is already a quest in the Smithy questline. Putting this quest in Witchery means one not only has Necronium but also the Wither-Protection Potion
- Splash Wither Potion quest added; reward is Venoshock.
- Leather Quest now rewards Stomping Tantrum
- Fosic Resonator Quest now rewards Hidden Power
- Added additional "Depths of Despair" quest to defeat all Drowned Pokemon
- One of the Air Level Quests (Manmade Habitat) now rewards Pluck.
