Highlights

• New progression toys: perk trees, rituals, data-driven effects, live cameras, and map-based teleport paths fixed and improved.
• Big Create upgrades: Heavy Autocannons and new round types, diesel engine rewrite with lots of upgrades, bulk fermenters, molding and casting.
• World refresh: cultural blocks, dungeons, biomes, cloud visuals, new stones, tougher bosses.
• QoL everywhere: simpler recipes, smarter tags, better book editing, safer security defaults.

What you will notice in play

Progression and systems. Corail Tombstone now has a real perk tree, a Ritual Flute, multi-step forgotten knowledge, Screaming Graves, and Spring Bloom. Botania adds broader tags and filters, provider Pick Block, phantom-inkable blocks, and better JEI surfaces. Scholar makes books first-class: edit, import, export, lectern edits, resourcepack coloring. Hexalia moves to Celestial Rituals with a new herb and JSON recipes plus broad ritual and brew configs. Cognition adds Transforming Focus, Fluorescent Agar, datapackable infecting/filling, and saner XP flow. Tetra reworks destabilization and opens up data-driven effects and schematics. Security Craft defaults to ownership-based block breaking, adds live camera feeds on Frames, and lets reinforced dispensers reinforce or undo. Via Romana replaces the old flow with charting on a map, sign linking from the sign UI, and a Teleport Screen.

Create stack. Big Cannons: Heavy Autocannons in cast iron, bronze, and steel with new heavy and standard rounds, suppressors, muzzle brakes, manual breeches, and cluster shells, with full Create 0.6 and NeoForge support. Diesel Generators adds Bulk Fermenters, molds, compression molding and casting, Chemical Turrets, new tools and girders, turbochargers, KubeJS hooks, and a full diesel engine rewrite. Fuel types are now a datapack registry, Cement is now Concrete. Winery polishes belts and grapes, updates alcohol values, and adds compat tags.

World and exploration. Dawn of Time splits plants and silk into a separate mod and refocuses on cultural blocks: Roman marble, a Pre-Columbian refresh, and a Jungle set. Abyssal Decor ships a large CTM wave with marble, rugs, glass, statues, and indicator lights, with pane CTM off for three pane types. Macabre adds Morphegor, three dungeons, three new biomes plus underground variants, more mobs, and new weapon lines. Wan’s Ancient Beasts adds blocks, structures, a Paleontologist trader, the Surfer mob, trims, enchantments, and a mob rebalance. Alex’s Caves adds the Brazier of Desolation, Shadow Casting, shader emissives, Shadow Stone variants, and new advancements. Underground Villages get more variety. Waystones add blackstone, endstone, and deepslate variants. Simple Clouds gets shaded clouds, an atmospheric layer, server-side spawning, commands, and Distant Horizons support.

Gear, companions, storage, decor. Aileron adds Smokestack and Cloudskipper treasure enchants. Protection Pixel adds new armor. Tamable Beasts adds brushing for drops, beast inventories, a happiness system, beetle gear, regular saddles, and higher health. Messenger Crow gets armor, ribbon colors, and phantom crows. Storage Drawers adds piglin key behavior, hopper and magnet upgrades, and netherite and copper tiers. Storage Delight adds animated bookshelf storage and more small drawers. MrCrayfish’s Furniture Refurbished can fill and drain bottles. Alex’s Caves Delight and Ender’s Delight add cabinets, produce, dishes, and a new End structure. Piglin brute armor now pacifies piglins. Tremorzilla hits harder.

Farming, food, villagers. Farmer’s Delight adds meal and drink tags, simpler dough with a reusable water bucket, fluid-agnostic Rich Soil hydration, safer Cooking Pot behavior, broader Create belt handling, and more. Mystical Agriculture adds glow ink sacs. Villager Workers improve merchants and payments and can travel by ship. Villager Recruits get better formations and pathing, ship control, tips, and ally-safe arrows.

Removed, split, or changed behavior

TL;DR

If you only read one line: update to Forge 47.4.9, expect far fewer crashes, and enjoy a lot of new systems to play with.
