In this Modpack you have to survive 3 infections or optionally 2 if you don't awaken the sculk horde.

Description

in this modpack, you have to survive 3 infections that are slowly corrupting your world. can you vanquish them, or let them have the upper hand?

 

Infection Spore


Spore: the first infection that you'll encounter are the fungal infection. this infection occurs in caves or at night. they can infect zombies, husk, drowned, villagers etc. these infected can evolve into more powerful forms, if they kill enough mobs. but if they fail evolving, they'll turn into a scamper. these mobs are pretty slow. they can also leave lingering clouds of mycelium infection. after 10 minutes of existing, the scamper will die and in its place a flesh mound will spawn. these mounds release spores that infect the surrounding area. the flesh mounds have 4 stages. but most impotently if they reach stage 4, the mound will create a block called a reconstructed mind, that can turn into a biomass tower or, become a proto-hivemind. the proto-hivemind will make a dome made out of biomass and fungus and junk. you can slow this infection by living in a biome that is naturally cold, or find/create a CDU and putting freezing agents in it.

 

From Another World


FAW: after 3 (now 5 days in the current versions) in game days, a space ship will crash down in the overworld, and in that space ship lies the alien thing. after the ship crashes, the alien thing will get out and start assimilating mobs that are in its vicinity. after it assimilates the mob, the alien thing will burrow in the ground. the assimilated mob will be undistinguishable from what it use to be. in this state, the assimilated mob will assimilate other mobs while the player is gone. the assimilated mob will reveal themselves when it is attacked, or naturally through waiting. you can kill this infection by right-clicking flint and steel on FAW mobs, or craft a flamethrower

 

Dark & Infectious


Sculk Horde: this infection starts if the player goes inside a sculk tomb. you can find this underground tomb if you go to 32~ or possibly 42~. when you go inside it, a message will appear in chat saying "you have awaken the horde" then the sculk horde will spread to the underground, and surface with sculk spewers. it'll take no time for the sculk horde to entirely infect spawn. then nodes will spawn, making the horde stronger. you can kill a node by breaking its core, but firstly you have to find the node. you can use a eye of purity to find it. or let the FAW infection to corrupt the sculk, which isn't ideal, but it works. but you can permanently stop the horde by getting sculk o’ brains that you can collect by destroying the brain node core, and crafting a dormant heart of the horde, and the soul harvester. once you have both of these items, your gonna need a lot of mobs to fuel the soul harvester. then place the dormant heart of the horde inside the soul harvester (and also place the soul harvester near a farm like a mob farm so it can collect XP). when you see the soul harvesters spikey, bone like appendages circling the main body, it is finished. turning the dormant heart of the horde into a regular heart of the horde. and now that you finally have it, you have to purify it. after you purified it, go back to the sculk tomb and put the purified heart into the ancient node and done. you've beaten the horde
