Paranoia World will make you turn around more often. This modpack is based on the already well-known The Broken Script.
The modpack perfectly conveys the creepy atmosphere, due to the sounds. It also has a mod that can scare you at random times with an unexpected screamer with a scary face. And perhaps my favorite in this modpack is the The Disturbed mod, which will learn and adapt, scaring you more and more efficiently.
To disable black bars on the sides, cheats must be enabled in the world, enter the command /TBS_config and click on No Vhs Overlay
