A tech modpack with a little bit of magic

Description

General

Welcome to the "OwnersCraft" project. This project has started many years ago and has been updated for quite a while, until the development has been stopped for many reasons. The main goal of this project was to create a custom experience for the old YouTube channel "TheOWneRS", which now is dead (I don't make videos anymore). The main goal of this project is to carry on the legacy of this pack, by maintaining as many mods from the old project as possible, while also updating the Minecraft version.

Info

This pack is built on the Minecraft version 1.10.2. The main purpouse of this project is to bring automation into minecraft. You can build lots of machinery to help you in the adventure. This are some tips that we suggest if you plan to do your first adventure in this modpack.

  • Tinkers Construct allows you to create advanced tools in the early stages of your adventure. This tools are also repairable, so you don't need to build them multiple times: this allows you to save resources for later. Plus, you can apply many modifications to enhance their power. We suggest to build the "Hammer" with an iron head as soon as possible: it is the best straight mining tool you can use throughout your adventure
  • Thermal Expansion allows you to create very useful machines in the early stages of the adventure. We highly recommend to create, as soon as possible, the following items: Energy Cell, that allows to store energy; Pulverizer, that allows to duplicate the ores into powders; Redstone Furnace, that allows you to smelt items without using fuels; Induction Smelters, which allows to create advanced ores. To power up the system, you need engines or dynamos. We highly recommend the Clockwork Engine: it is very cheap and it doesn't use fuels. You need to hold Mouse2 to charge them and, once they are red, you let them amd they start generating power. Make sure to connect the engines and the machines to the cell via Fluxducts
  • Since you don't want to charge the clockwork engines forverer, the next step is to automate the power. The best way is to use lava as your primary fuel. To do that you need: Pump (Industrial Craft 2), Geothermal Generator ((Industrial Craft 2), 2x Ender Tank (make sure they have the same colors on the top), Chunk Loader (Chicken Chunks), some Hardened Fluiducts, a full RE-Battery (Industrial Craft 2). Go to the nether, find a large lava lake, place the pump as close to the bottom of the lake as possible (remember to leave at least a block underneath the pump), place the geothermal generator on one of the sides of the pump, connect the generator to the pump via a fluiduct, place the ender tank somewhere outside of the lake, connect the tank to the pump via fluiducts, insert the battery inside the pump. If the pump starts working, you should see the lava going through the pipes, the generator starts working and the tank starts filling. Place the chunk loader close to the tank and make sure to set a radius at least to 5 or 6. Also, make sure that the ender tank is set to blue mode. After all of that, go back to the overworld and and place the tank somewhere close to the energy cell. If you have done all the passages correctly, you should see the tank with lava. If so, create some Magmatic Dynamos and connect them to the cell via Fluxducts. They require lava as fuels, so make sure to connect the tank to the dynamos via Hardened Fluiducts.

At this point, you can do advanced stuff. You can create a reserve of lava via the Dynamic Tank, in case the pump stops working. You can automatize the production via Applied Energistics or barrels. If you want an harder challenge, instead of creating the Thermal Expansion machines, you can go with the Industrial Craft 2 route.

There are also some magical mods, like Ars Magica 2 and Blood Magic, and other useful mods, like Forestry, if you want ot breed bees
