A mostly Vanilla modpack meant to bring back memories of Beta minecraft in a newer version whilst adding more challenging aspects including harder mobs, rarer resources and Beta-like world generation in 1.12.2.
Description
With a fairly light mod load this modpack is designed to inrcease difficulty and bring back some of the challenge and limitations of the earlier versions which inspired so much creativity through survival.
Mods including Beta+ world generation, Darkness, Harder Mobs with custom config files as well as removing of sprinting through rebinding (fully customisable for the player).

- Beta Feeling
- Beta+ World generation option when creating your world
- Resource packs to bring back old audio and graphics from the Beta days
- Removed Andesite, Granite and Diorite through ore tweaker to bring back a cleaner world environment
- Better Fog
- Void Fog
- Increased difficulty
- Darkness mod makes the world significantly darker and more treacherous and making bases feel more safe and inviting
- Sprinting to be rebound meant to increase difficulty and make monsters more dangerous
- Increased health, damage and speed of mobs to increase difficulty
- No more sleeping through nights (although setting of spawns is allowed)
- Ores now spawn much rarer and have lesser variants making iron and diamonds in particular more valuable
- Combat changes including removed sweeping edge (new enchant book for it) and changes to how Crits are dealt
- No damage immunity meaning its harder to fend off multiple sources of damage
- Changes to mobility around the world
- Faster minecarts to encourage the building of railway networks
- More track types as well as cheaper recipes
- Horses are now faster too
- Books are required to enchant with XP having been removed incentivising exploration

- Improved Iron Golems and Snow Golems
- Changes to graphics in the form of Dynamic Surroundings
- Dynamic torches that allow the player to light up their surroundings by holding bright items
- Nether Ex to create a more varied Nether
- Shields no longer have a lag time when being deployed improving reactivity
- Creepers no longer blow up items dropped on the floor
- Players start with all recipes so the few modded items in the game can be accessed through the recipe book
