Some Quick Tips:
There are over a hundred client-enhancing or performance mods in this modpack. If it does run slowly, please fiddle with the Embeddium++ settings, or lower entity culling. If Vsync is on, turn it off and double your framerate.
You may want to press "H" to see your dynamic body damage from Legendary Survival Overhaul.
There is a zoom button if you put a spyglass in your curio slot.
Get a canteen first, and if you start bleeding have bandages ready from Progressive Difficulty.
Sleeping in a bed should heal your body parts.
If you kill some guardians and get a capacitator, you can make Create-powered defense turrets!
This modpack uses Sophisticated Storage and Backpacks. It also uses Tom's Simple Storage Mod. Really all you need is wood and to go to the Nether.
Stand on bedrock for a while. I dare you. ([:)
When you get to the End, there's four pieces of bedrock and four pieces of end crystal in the chest. Stellarity also locks all its mod items, so you have to find the item first to unlock its crafting in EMI/JEI.
Pretty much every item excluding guns (for now) can be enchanted with Apotheosis. If you want, for example, Biomancy's acolyte armor to be legendary, have five gem slots, and still require you to feed it, you can.
One of the Protection Pixel power armor chestplates has a uber-powerful "pneunamic pickaxe" with "5 hardness" and "17 dig speed." Curious.
You'll probably spawn near a house with a wither boss setup at the top. Are you sure you want to put the convienent head in the right spot? Are you really, really sure?
Do not dig down from 0, 0. Do not enter the ancient tomb. I am not daring you, I am telling you.
Again, if you're bleeding, craft a bandage to stop it. The one from Progressive Difficulty.
Celestialsynth is better than anything Simply Swords has, hands down. You'll see.
You might, sometimes, find a mutant monster casually spawning at night. Stay away. The night is dangerous without good gear. You will die.
Zombies have a lot better eyesight than you're used to and a sense of smell. Be wary.
Ranged damage increases does in fact work with bullets! You might want to be mindful of this as you level up and plan to go down the Create + many Addons (otherwise known as Autonoma) path.
Legendary Survival Overhaul has healing herbs, crafted from two flowers and two seeds, and bandages, crafted from two wool and two string (2.5 wool). If you have headaches, try crafting these! Or, you can wear head armor.
Beware the glowing eyes at night. You best would want to stay inside.
Keep a consistent diet! Your loss of maximum health does (slightly) affect your body part health!
Farmer's Delight is a wonderful mod that increases the nutrition of every bite, which also increases your maximum health. You can also automate it.
Modular Golems lets you create your own friends you can tell to guard, if you don't like villagers doing it or colonists.
Thirst is a major concern. If you happen across a desert, you can find water plants. Otherwise, drink copious amounts of dirty water if you still can't find a bit of iron or leather for a canteen. As a last resort, you could carry a bucket of water and sip the dirty water from that.
Get a shield and armor as soon as you can. Or, only use a ranged ability or bow.
You have to repeatedly LEFT-CLICK the totem of holding to get your items back.
Monsters that are sitting are relaxing. They won't aggro, unless they feel the need to stand.
Zombies are more dangerous than usual, but they try not to venture out into sunlight. They've gotten smarter!
Skeletons will run away when you hit them. Then they'll double-tap headshot you and cause you to go blind due to localized body damage.
The Eccentric Tome lets you craft together all mod guidebooks into a single book! Just, don't lose it. It'd be annoying.
Did you know that campfires both heal you, and prevent monster spawns? You might want to put one or ten in your base.
Corpse Flies make you sick and spawn more corpse flies if they get a good hit on you. They've actually burrowed into your flesh and laid eggs! Kill them immediately.
Tornadoes are rare but horrifying!
Smaller sailing ships may be inhabited by villagers, not pillagers. They'll even fish!
Note: 8-10 gb of ram recommended. It's a very large modpack with a lot going on. This modpack is in active development, so expect bugs and an unfinished FTBQuests Tree. (that is already in the hundreds)
