Description
Nuts and Bolts:Torqued Edition, is an expert inspired 1.10.2 all inclusive pack supported and developed by feedback from the reddit communities on /r/feedthebeast and /r/breakinblocks.
To Cover the key points of the pack:
This pack has a great deal of mods, avoiding multiple redundancies where available while focusing on getting the best play experience and the most varied options for your game play. We looked at, and continue to evaluate all the mods available, from the well known to the more obscure to bring new and exciting game play to you.
Nuts and Bolts: Torqued is progression oriented with the goal of utilizing all mods in the pack. Although much of the progress will involve both magic and technology to some degree, we have gone great lengths to streamline the experience and not detract to heavily from those wishing to specialize by allowing magic to primarily gate magic and tech primarily gate tech until you reach near endgame when it all comes together.
As with our other packs, Nuts and Bolts: Torqued has the benefit of ongoing Support. Our community has supported the development and refinement of our packs for literally years and we continue to support pack's dating back all the way to 1.6.4 MC. We have discord, and github where we track, respond to and fix issues that players or server owners may run into.
Highly customized worldgen. We are using Realistic Terrain Generation, with biomes of plenty as well as climate control which has had its configs extensively altered. Adding to this are worldgen additions from mods like streams, climate control, dungeon generators, geographicraft, quark and more. On top of all that you’ll continue to see many of your favorite mods adding their flavor including Botania, IC2, Mekanism, AE2, Bloodmagic, newer mods like Embers, Roots, Astral Sorcery and Advanced Rocketry.
We understand just how subjective balance can be so we approach it from a more philosophical angle. We tweak our configs and recipes to be somewhat more difficult, but we do so in a gradual, multistep way. Instead of needing large amounts of a rare resource or hard to obtain resources you will instead find that all recipes leading up to that are just a little more effort than you were used to. The machines take more power than normal to run, steel may be required where iron once was, but the end result is a gradual increase in difficulty to extend the life and interest of the game without the sometimes frustrating hard gating you find in some packs.
Most of our recipes allow for the use of cross mod interaction to circumvent many of the increased costs. In addition to some cross modding being required, it is also rewarded. You may find cheaper and more efficient recipes await you for using cross-mod interactions and new cross mod recipes.
Lastly with the latest version of the pack we've included Questing as a way to guide you through the pack's progression and outline goals for you to achieve along the way. The Questbook is completely optional, but should feel very rewarding should you utilize it. The questbook will primarily reflect the flow chart provided here:
