The mod pack N.S.E is currently very unfinished!
(I’m the only one currently working on the project, and I’m still in school, so the project evolves depending on how much time I can put into it. That said, I work on it every week, so don’t worry—it won’t be abandoned.)
Why am I creating this modpack?
Great question! My goal is to fix Minecraft’s value system and progression in all its aspects—while keeping the original spirit of the game intact.
Are you tired of:
• progressing through technology too quickly, like crafting an iron pickaxe in barely 10 minutes, which makes wooden and stone tools feel almost worthless?
• mining random globs of ore with no intellectual challenge—just digging straight lines—instead of being rewarded for using your brain?
• modpacks that only offer one linear path of progression, stripping away the freedom that makes Minecraft unique?
• Minecraft lacking lore—an epic story that gives meaning to your exploration and actions?
• all that and want real choices in how you play, and real value in progression—where effort and challenge are proportional to the reward?
If you enjoyed the old SevTech: Ages modpack, this project is inspired by it—but with a stronger focus on true value and meaningful progression.
The idea is to give the game a real purpose, with a long, evolving story that unfolds as you explore. Progression isn’t linear—it follows a natural and intuitive path: the greater the risks you take, the greater the rewards… but never without a fight, or perhaps even more challenges.

You may already be a fan of Minecraft—don’t worry, this modpack gives you even more of what you love about the game, but on a bigger, deeper scale.
With this modpack, you’ll experience Minecraft as you know it, but enhanced: a gameplay that both improves and elevates the game for new players and veterans alike.

Progression
The tech progression aims to be true to the logic of energy used in the real world, like: Fire, Vapor pressure, Fossil energy, Electricity, Nuclear fission, Nuclear fusion… Made possible by these mods: Create, Create: factory must grow, Mekanism, creating space, RFtool addition, RF tools dimension, Adventures In time - Tardis ...
To be true to Minecraft, you are still free to do everything you want. The only limit is resources and your imagination. For example, you are not forced to go in each individual era of the tech progression, if a player gives away is resource or if a resource is found in vestige of the past, you are technicaly able to skip an era.

A custom mining level has been specially created for this mod pack, and it adds new drops for the ores. The generation of ore has been changed thanks to: Spelunkery and custom ore generation inspired by real-world geology.

Design Your Dream Vehicle
Create and fully customize your own vehicles, from classic cars to futuristic airships. Choose from a variety of options, including:
- Cars
- Tanks
- Helicopters
- Trains
- Planes
- Boats
- Dirigibles
- Space ship
- Tardis interior
The vehicle will pass through various eras and have many different ways to power it, such as steam, fuel, and electricity. Made possible by these mods: Clockwork: Create x Valkyrien Skies, Trackwork and creating space.
Difficulty
The difficulty is low as you start your journey. Throughout your survival, you will encounter increasingly strange creatures, and they will have ways to breach the wall between you and the night. Multiple powerful creatures, created under strange circumstances, await your discovery, and a true meaning is given to them to oppose you.
Adventure
In this mod pack, the structure is designed to enhance your understanding of the lore and provide a meaningful purpose for exploration, discovery of technology and acquisition of loot. Structures will be more widely spaced, increasing their value. Surface generation aims to be visually impressive and stable on both low and high-end PCs. The cave system is enhanced by the Alex Cave and Terralith mods, but many personal structures will be buried, to discover.
Magic
The second aspect of the modpack is magic, featuring mods like Hex Casting, Ars Nouveau, Ars Elemental. Magic from another world has significantly altered the landscape, leaving its mark. Obtaining magical abilities will be challenging.
Spec:
Tested on minimum spec: Acer laptop — 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1240P, Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics, 16GB RAM
With the minimum specs, you may not be able to use the Distant Horizons option. If you experience problems, you can disable it.
- Minimum RAM without shader: 12GB (8GB dedicated for minecraft)
- Minimum RAM with shaders: 12 GB (10GB dedicated for minecraft without eniting else running) verify with task manager to be sure.
Tested on High spec: Framework 16 laptop — AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, AMD Radeon™ RX 7700S, 32GB RAM
The reason it's complicated allocating RAM is because Distant Horizons is a special mod that uses a large amount of RAM to render extremely far distances (beyond 32 chunks). Due to its compatibility with shaders, its RAM usage can even double. This is why it’s important for game stability to follow the plan below because to manualt change allowed ram to mincraft in your laucher.
- Minimum RAM for Distant Horizon without shader: 16 GB (dedicate 12GB to minecraft)
- Minimum RAM for Distant Horizon with shader: 32 GB (dedicate 16GB to minecraft or more but not stable in some cases)
Warning: Make sure you still have at least 4 GB of RAM available for the rest of your computer, as running out can cause serious issues. All tests were done with the laptops plugged into power for optimal performance. For better cooling and performance, place your laptop on a stand or cooling pad to allow it to breathe and run cooler.
