NCV is a hard pack; not expert, just hard.
IMPORTANT: Every dimension that you enter that isn't the void, will crash your game.
Create a world with "Superflat", "Peaceful (IF YOU WANT)" and the Superflat Preset "The Void", or your game immediately crashes. This was integrated in the progression to not visit any other dimension.

Stranded in the void, you will build factories and other stuff to maintain your life. But dont jump down, or you will most likely perish...
This modpack has Quests to guide you through the (small) world.
If someone "has a questionmark above their head" because the world is a chunk of stone, I'd likely ask, why the hell he is still playing.
At the end, your factory will need to withstand the cost of the creative crate, of hundreds of thousands of items. Good luck.
The pack now ownes gamestages as of version 2.0. You need to create (no pun intended) mechanisms to unlock various mods, that you need to play through mostly. That includes: Tier One: Create, Tier Two: Thermal Series, Tier Three: FTB Industrial Contraptions (yes that ic2 remake), Tier Four: IndustrialCraft2 (the mod that started it all), Tier Five: Big/Extreme Reactors.
Sorry if you cant expand a factory because the mod you used turns out to be locked. You may look in the code for "change this to zs (gamestages)", in the scripts folder to see what stage your mod is locked in, as it could be that you cant get a mod because of questing, you need to cheat for that, /gamestages ... .
The mods' respective quest chapter always rewards a creative item component which you can use to get the Create Creative Crate.
