The Combat Overhaul Update ⚔️

Version 2.0.0 brings a major change to NEO Ascension, completely rebuilding the combat experience around Better Combat.

The goal of this update is to offer smoother animations, better compatibility with modded weapons, and a more consistent experience throughout the game.

⚔️ Combat Overhaul

• Replaced Epic Fight with Better Combat 2.4.0.

• Removed 18 Epic Fight-related mods and addons, including Nightfall, Invincible, Skill Tree, and other combat integrations.

• Introduced a new combat system featuring animated attacks, weapon combos, and improved weapon handling.

• Improved compatibility with weapons from mods such as Hazen N Stuff and Crystal Chronicles.

• Removed outdated Epic Fight configurations and keybindings.

🎭 New Player Animations

• Added Fresh Animations.

• Added Fresh Animations: Player Extension.

• Added Entity Player Compat for better integration between player animations and Better Combat.

• Added Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF).

• Updated the visual experience with more natural player movement and animations.

🛠️ Compatibility & Stability

• Removed several components associated with the previous combat system.

• Reduced reliance on Epic Fight-specific animation and rendering systems.

• Updated the modpack configuration for the new combat experience.

• Preserved compatibility-focused configurations for the remaining mods.

🏰 Existing Features Preserved

The core NEO Ascension experience remains intact:

• MineColonies and medieval colony development.

• Ice and Fire dragons and customized world generation.

• Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and magical progression.

• Hazen N Stuff, Crystal Chronicles, and other equipment mods.

• Customized mob balance and difficulty scaling.

• Dimension-based L2 Artifacts loot progression.

• Exploration, dungeons, bosses, automation, and storage systems.

⚠️ Important Notes

Version 2.0.0 is a major combat system update.

Players upgrading from 1.x should back up their existing worlds before updating. Items, skills, and progression associated with removed Epic Fight addons may no longer be available.

A new world is recommended for the most consistent experience.
