Nothing new as far as world gen or edits so "should" be OK but always make a back up before updating. Again a Ruins config edit will be happening at some point soon, So once done your world will need new chunks to see the edited stuff. If you wish to keep the world your playing in now it maybe best to not spawn large area of the world  just now.
