Description

Welcome to the Mythical Overworld!

Explore, dig and fight your way to become the ideal warrior. Progress through these vast challenges by finding different kinds of gear, weapons, and armors to help overcome the vast challenges of the Overworld. Explore the numerous amount of new structures, biomes, and terrain this modpack has to offer.

Peace only comes after fighting the battle after battle. You may rest, but your adversaries wont. Be ready to embark on a mythical adventure with your friends, pets or perhaps, alone. The world presents to you everything to make you live a harsh life. Brace yourself, O Brave One

While this modpack has around 160 mods, it was built to be performance friendly for mid-end PC's.

Keybinds

A quick mockup I did of some important keybinds:

Traveler's Edition:

- This version is built for playing on multiplayer servers.

- So this includes the: serverpack and the client you use for joining a server.

- The Traveler's Edition can be found here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/mythical-overworld-travelers-edition

Normal Edition:

- This version is designed for playing on singleplayer worlds.

What to expect from this modpack:

- A medium-based difficulty pack.

- With the modpack being based around an RPG theme, don't expect any tech mods.

- Tested and built to be a stable modpack with the help of performance mods, such as: magnesium, helium, krypton, ferrite core, etc.

- This modpack was heavily inspired from Rlcraft and Mineshafts and Monsters:

Rlcraft (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/rlcraft)

Mineshafts and Monsters (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/mineshafts-monsters)

FEATURES:

- Prepare yourself for over 20+ bosses through the Overworld, nether, and end.

- A plethora of weapons and armor to help combat these new creatures (even comes with magic from Ars Nouveau)

- You may choose to act as more of a: tank, ranger, mage, summoner, and even a bard?

- We've got plenty of gear to aid you on your expedition: artifacts, relics, baubles, and grappling hooks!

- Tons and TONS of dungeons

- An optional quest system to help guide you of the features of this pack. (accessible with the quest book from your inventory)

BASICS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • PlayerEx - By grinding and fighting your way through different enemies, you may acquire skill points that can help you increase your health, strength, luck, etc.

With these skill points, you may opt to go for a certain build, whether you wanna go for an offensive or more of a defensive playstyle.

  • Reskillable - This mod is responsible for assigning certain level requirements for tools, armors, blocks, you name it (not all objects have level requirements). If a sword says "Attack 5", then you'll need to level up and upgrade your attack skill points before you can use it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gathering Wood

This modpack contains the "No Tree Punching" Mod, so it might change the progression of cutting down a tree and grabbing your first tools.

Nevertheless, 'll do my best to teach you of the essentials/basics you need to help you get started with this modpack:

  • Sticks - You can gather sticks by breaking down leaves. You'll need a bit of patience since the drop rates may be random

  • Flint - Just like the vanilla experience, you'll need to gather flint by breaking gravel.

  • Afterwards hit it on a nearby rock in order to gain flint shards.

  • Once you obtained a flint shard and a stick, your next step is to craft a flint knife

  • Next you'll need cut some grass with it and make some plant string.

  • Lastly, after gathering all the materials, it's up to you to decide if you wanna first make a flint axe or a flint pickaxe.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DUNGEONS

The only way to obtain stone tools is by heading to a dungeon. Dungeons are great early and late-game sources for grinding exp, loot, and leveling up.

As you progress through each floor the dungeon's difficulty gets harder and harder.

Downloading the Modpack:

- Be sure to have the Overworld Curseforge Launcher installed. https://www.overwolf.com/app/Overwolf-CurseForge

- Just search 'Mythical Overworld - Traveller's Edition" and press install.

Adding World/Server Configs:

- After creating a world/server, I recommend using the configs under the "serverconfigs" folder found inside the modpack's files.

- Afterwards place them in: saves -> (the world/save file you'll choose) -> serverconfig and just replace the files located there.

- And once you're done, just launch your world/server and everything will be good to go!

FAQ:

What's the RAM allocation needed?

- Minimum RAM is 2 GB, Maximum RAM is 4 GB (optimal)

Having fps issues running the modpack?

- You can check the optimization category for tips on performance.

Why not use optifine?

With our main goal being about making the modpack as performance friendly as possible, we used a combination of performance mods.  We've tested Magnesium alongside the other mods and it has shown: better fps, faster loading times, less stuttering, and crashing.

Though if you prefer to use Optifine & Optiforge, do remove the following mods:

- Magnesium

- Magnesium Extras

- Krypton Reforged

- Dynamic lights Reforged

- Helium

Why do mobs easily dissapear away from my sight?

Since the modpack's priority is performance, we tuned the entity distance all the way down to 16.

But this is easily fixable inside the settings by sliding the distance to the value you prefer. (Recommended: 56)

SLIDER

Why do my skills keep resetting after every death?

I've tried using the "Global Configs Mod" to allow you to keep your skills (ex: roll) even after death. Yet to my avail, I couldn't get this to work at the moment.

But an easy solution for this is to just input the gamerule: "/gamerule keepSkills true" and it should fix the issue.

Why not FTB quests instead?

We considered this halfway through making the modpack, but decided to stick with HQM quests since it would take a lot of time and be really tedious to port all the quests over. So we decided to skip this idea.

What's the differences between each version?

> Traveler's Edition:

Serverpack - Meant to be installed on server's. This comes with all the server-side mods required.

Client - The client containing the modpack required to join on a server.

> Normal Version:

This version is meant for meant for singleplayer worlds. One big difference here, is that we removed some mods meant for multiplayer servers, that would be unnecessary for singleplayer worlds.

This also contains all the mods required for a server and alongside extra mods that would fit a singleplayer playthrough quite well.

How do I add custom music?

Note: Before trying to add custom music, you'll first need to have a game known as "Starbound" for this to work:

1. Download Starbound Composer (You can use this link provided - http://www.starboundcomposer.com/)

2. Find and download a midi file you plan to use

3. Once Starbound Composer has downloaded, click StarboundComposer.exe inside the zip file

4. Just drag and drop your midi file there and you can modify it there.

5. Once your done, just click: file -> save-all and it would transform it into a .abc file.

6. Finally, just drag the file in your: mods folder -> clef -> abc and you're good to go!

OPTIMIZATION

I have a very mid-end pc, but despite that I can run the modpack pretty consistently at 60-70 fps.

My specs include:

- Windows 10

- Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 2200U

- Ram: 4 GB (2 allocated for Minecraft)

RAM Optimization:

To allocate your ram much better, I suggest using this guide:

https://github.com/EnigmaticaModpacks/Enigmatica6/wiki/Recommended-Settings-for-Enigmatica

On another note, using these JVM arguments can prove to be a big help for optimization - https://www.reddit.com/r/feedthebeast/comments/5jhuk9/modded_mc_and_memory_usage_a_history_with_a/

To achieve the best performance, I recommend using this settings:
