Concept & Goal

Mycelium Rising is a hardcore but balanced survival experience set in a world devastated by a fungal pathogen. Gameplay blends realism (thirst, disease, limited resources), sci-fi (bio-weapons, laboratories, technology), and a tense post-apocalyptic atmosphere. No fantasy or magic — only plausible mechanics and technology. The main objective is to progress from weak, vulnerable survivor to the final confrontation with the infection itself, possibly crafting a cure or destroying the source. Progression is gradual: you start weak, but gain knowledge, tools, and allies over time.

Core Mod: Fungal Infection – Spore

The modpack centers around Fungal Infection: Spore, which creates the fungal apocalypse threat. This mod adds aggressive mycelium zombies, infection mechanics, and escalating challenges. Infected creatures evolve, form hordes, call for backup, and may even construct terrifying organic structures. The infection acts as a self-developing epidemic — a truly formidable opponent.

Lore & Worldbuilding

The world suffered a sudden disaster when a government/corporation-developed fungus weapon escaped containment. Infection spread rapidly, turning humans into fungal zombies and causing the collapse of civilization. Survivors(WIP) — military, scientists, civilians, bandits — now struggle for existence. Your actions can unite factions and determine the fate of humanity.

Balancing & Configuration

The modpack will feature finely-tuned configs for spawn rates, infection mechanics, resource scarcity, and difficulty scaling to maintain a tense but fair experience. Crafting recipes, loot, and enemy AI will be adjusted for maximum immersion.

Final Goal(WIP)

Survive, unite survivors, research the infection, and face the ultimate challenge: defeat the hivemind or develop a cure to bring hope to the world.
