Description
NOTE: There was an issue with Better villages while trying to upload to curseforge. If you don't care about that mod, you can remove it and no further action needed. If you want to keep the mod, you will just need to download the dependency mod, Library ferret i think it's called. (the error screen will tell you the exact name of it is and you can search it on modrinth)
This is an updated version of the modpack, moving from Minecraft version 1.20.1 to now using 1.21.1, and switched from forge to neoforge. Some of the mods from the 1.20.1 pack have not been updated for the newer java edition so had to be either replaced, or removed completely.
This pack is not necessarily meant for public use, and I offer no support and little guidance. I made this for my kids and I to play together because the modpacks we find usually have too many complex, game altering mods included and we just don't enjoy that playstyle.
for those who do want to give this pack a try, here is a short description of what you'll find:
Ars Nouveau is the focal point of the pack. I have made some changes to the recipes for rituals and glyphs in order to keep early game challenging and more vanilla like. You can still acquire a spell book with the basic spells fairly early in the game, but unlocking glyphs, performing rituals, and gaining power will take longer/require more effort.
End Remastered makes getting to the end island more challenging by requiring multiple different eyes obtained in various different ways in order to activate the end portal. You'll have to do some exploring both in the overworld and in the nether before you make it to the dragon in this modpack.
Minecraft Comes Alive Reborn- makes villagers appear and behave more like players. Personalities, relationships, and new skins to look "human".
Biomes O' Plenty- adds several new biomes to explore with new blocks to build with.
The Aether is a mod that adds a new dimension with new items, mobs, bosses, and biomes to explore.
Lootr- Makes treasure chests in the world so that everyone who finds them gets their own loot. No more finding empty chests when your kids (or friends) discover villages/dungeons/treasure before you.
Waystones- because it's not really all that fun navigating long distances the old fashioned way tbh Most villages will have a waystone. You can disable/remove this mod and it won't break anything.
Village Spawn Point- fairly straightforward, new worlds spawn you in a village instead of the wilderness.
Journeymap- Because I'm not a fan of wandering aimlessly for hours trying to find my house.
corpse- Because I don't enjoy the panic of trying to find my stuff before it despawns but i also don't want to play with keep inventory. corpse is a happy medium.
diagonal walls, fences, and windows- no explanation needed.
Connected glass- Clear glass with no lines, as it should be.
Mighty Mail- craft working mailboxes and post boxes to send packages to other players.
Carry On- Pick up and carry (some) entities, including villagers, small animals, chests, workstations etc. Makes moving villagers and other things less frustrating and time consuming.
a few other mods that mostly improve quality of life.
