Description

I love Minecraft. I really love modded Minecraft. That being said, I haven't enjoyed the new Minecraft versions as much (new combat is lame) and I miss a lot of what I used to have in the old 1.7.10 days (the load times were superb too). So, I decided to go back with a huge modpack designed to appeal to anyone with almost 300 mods (incompatibilities put the count to 293-298, depending on which part of the F3 menu you focus on). I also needed to upload it to CurseForge so my friends can download it with the push of a button instead of having to hit, like, maybe 10 buttons? So, now for a real description.

There are my personal favorites like Mekanism, Logistics Pipes and Botania. There are standard features like AE2, the COFH Suite, Thaumcraft and EnderIO. There are classics like IC2 and Buildcraft. There's forgotten relics of the past like Witchery and Metallurgy. There are even a few lesser utilized (at least for 1.7.10 packs) like Flaxbeard's Wonderful Steam and Ars Magica 2. All that being said, how did I balance it? Answer, I didn't. This is, at it's core, for my friends and I to enjoy. So, only a few recipe edits for ease of access and some oregen adjustments so you don't have a million types of each ore (VoltzEngine didn't have a config file to change in this version, so sorry for those ores also being there. On the brightside, tons of copper). Other than that, most of it is bone stock, so go nuts. Also, since it's bone stock, expect a few crashes here and there. I am no expert pack developer, so consider this an Alpha version. I will be trying to push updates if I find things I can fix. But, I don't want to cut any more mods (already had to part with Minechem and FLORA), so some issues will always occur.

All that being said, go nuts with this. I definitely anticipate a lot of people can have fun with this. So, now I am gonna go do that.

Oh, here are my jvm arguments, seems to work well for me, so figured I could include it: -XX:+UseG1GC -Xmx4G -Xms4G -Dsun.rmi.dgc.server.gcInterval=2147483646 -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M
