Description
Hello, this is one of a long line of PVP oriented modpacks I want to create, if these gain a playerbase I may create a discord for this modpack and all the other ones that are planned.
CREATING WORLD; This modpack is useable with Essential but it should work with any server provider just make sure you turn on keep inventory and if you would like create a biomes o plenty world. Make sure to follow the next steps aswell.
HOW TO START PLAYING;
To play this modpack you must use the items in your inventory. This modpack was designed for a 1v1, but it should be playable for any amount of players on any team. The most IMPORTANT step is to use the apatheticmobs command, /apatheticwhitelist add myusernamelol in order to allow the Monster to be able to work alongside other hostile mobs. The Survivor side also has a command to balance the game which is to type /rtp . This command will teleport you to a random part of the world inside of the world border so the Monster wont be able to immediately start attacking you. This is all you should need in order to start the game.
OPTIONAL RULES;
Rule #1 Survivors and Monsters talk at the beginning of the match to negotiate a winning condition for the survivors, so it's more fun. Or you can see who survives longer when you take turns.
Rule #2 Monsters shouldn't be able to craft armor, and unless it is too easy for the survivor, use the Monsters player form for combat.
Rule #3 Survivors should use their Teleport immediately when the game starts, because it is unfair if they use it as an escape later in the game.
Rule #4 Avoid obvious use of cheating because this minigame is for fun and shouldn't be too serious.
GAME MECHANICS;
This section is for understanding the game more and what to expect.
- Darkness Damage, being in darkness for 5 seconds will make any player start taking damage except for Wraith Form (Monster). This damage is stopped and the cooldown is reset immediately after being exposed to a higher light level, the minimum light level is 5 to stop taking damage.
- Starting TP (Survivor) when the game is started use /rtp if you are a survivor this will tp you to a random spot within the game bounds, you can communicate with your team using /whisper or any other means to group up.
- Wraith Form (Monster), This form is activated upon equipping the necromancer hood it allows you to fly through walls, grants night vision, immortality, makes you invisible. It however makes you unable to place blocks, break blocks or damage anything. You want to use this item to locate the player or observe them and possess mobs to attack them.
- Necromancer Staff (Possession), this staff's first spell allows you to possess any mob and play as them, this life is detached from you and you will return to your real body after dying in this form or pressing shift.
- Necromancer Staff (Zombie Apocalypse), this staff's second spell rains zombie's down from a portal above you, this is your anti skybase tool, it is very strong when your target has a open sky above them. You can also possess your own zombies to launch a attack the survivors wouldnt expect.
