Description

This is a demanding modpack, so a mid-range or higher PC is recommended. Ongoing optimizations are being made to ensure the best possible performance and gameplay experience.

You are in a world completely devastated by terrible creatures, from dragons and dinosaurs to grotesque beings. Are you fit to survive in this hostile environment?

Modpack Difficulty: Casual

The Insanity Shaders are not enabled by default in the mod pack because they are resource-intensive, but they are recommended for players who want a more survival-horror experience.

The modpack's difficulty has been set to casual, including mods that can potentially help the player achieve a smoother initial progression in the planned world.

Monster Hunter Survive is a modpack with countless mods for surviving in a hostile environment filled with diverse monsters ranging from dragons to dinosaurs. You can have your helper like in Monster Hunter or tame any mob you want, become a dragon or a vampire, or even a werewolf—all of these are mods added to make progression easier for casual play. If you're more into tech mods, you can dive deep into those as well; if you prefer magic, there are magic mods to explore too. However, many famous mods that make progression way too easy in both magic and tech don't exist here to ensure the player has slow progression in the early game, medium in the mid-game, and fast in the end-game for tech and magic mods.

Many mods included in this modpack are quite recent and may include bugs, so be aware of that. Many configurations haven't been made yet and will be done in the future—these modifications could add more difficulty. I'd say the modpack isn't quite at the casual difficulty level I want yet; it's somewhere between easy and casual.

FTB Chunks works a bit differently here: it protects your chunks from players, but not from mobs—they can still destroy your base. If you want full protection, use MFFS.
