Valence: The power of combination!
This is a mod pack focused on providing an enjoyable Multiplayer experience for players of all types. It includes a combination of vanilla+ and exploration based mods and magic mods of all sizes. A sprinkle of tech, especially Create but also including Immersive Engineering and Mekanism, keeps things interesting for technological types, while magic mods ranging in size from the small spellcrafting mod Ars Nouveau to the mastery of the stars in Astral Sorcery will have magic players exploring all sorts of new avenues in the arcane arts. Even those who prefer a more vanilla, exploratory experience will be rewarded with permanent trinkets, better per-player loot with Lootr, and all sorts of new dungeons and other structures to be found.
Although the amount of mods may seem daunting, a large amount of those mods are small in nature or add-ons to other mods (Especially Create and Mekanism). Although the pack is designed for multiplayer, it can also be played in singleplayer.
Notes and tips:
Breaking a Spawner with silk touch will drop that spawner, which can be upgraded using various items visible in JEI. Breaking Spawners without silk touch will give you Spirit Orbs, a part of the Paraglider mod which will allow you to permanently increase your max HP.
Vanilla bosses will drop the same heart containers, with the Enderdragon dropping one and the Wither dropping two. IE Shader drops from other boss mobs can also be converted into hearts.
If you're finding the overworld dungeons repetitive, try some of the dimension mods in the pack! Atum gives you a vast, dangerous dune to explore, while The Undergarden provides an atmospheric experience in the murky depths. Twilight forest is as linear as ever, and Blue Skies provides two Aether-like dimensions with new dungeons and bosses to fight!
