A lightweight variety pack for when your personal computer is more like a potato calculator.

Description

Modern Moderation: Lite Edition is a small sandbox-style pack, featuring a handful of easy-to-grasp mods that you’re free to pursue at your own leisure. Want to build modular tools and armor with Tinkers’ Construct, and fight through the Twilight Forest with them? Want to set up mass production with Thermal Expansion, then use Refined Storage to automate it? Want to deck out your Botania island with Biomes O’ Plenty foliage? You go ahead and do it! Modern Moderation: Lite Edition won’t force you into using mods you don’t like, just to unlock the ones you do.

So what can you expect from this pack, compared to Vanilla?

  • More ores, and better ways to process them and your other resources
  • Many more building blocks that can be looted and/or crafted
  • Additional biomes to find (even underground and in the Nether!)
  • A whole new dimension, with unique locations to loot and challenging bosses to beat
  • A variety of accessories that, while simple, are incredibly effective
  • Modular tools and armor that can be customized any way you like
  • Greater automation potential, with either pipes or a versatile electronic storage system
  • Packed-in features to improve the multiplayer experience

For those who have seen/played the Original Edition of Modern Moderation:

Q: What’s the primary difference between the Original Edition and the Lite Edition?

A: The Lite Edition packs about two-thirds of the mods that the Original Edition has. It also lacks the Patchouli documentation and ContentTweaker recipes seen in the Original Edition. So if the original Modern Moderation really bakes your potato (which it apparently can), this edition would be better for you.

Q: What mods are excluded from this edition, compared to the original?

A: Chickens, Extra Utilities 2, Not Enough Wands, Project Red, and Simply Jetpacks 2 are the big ones. Apart from that, it’s mostly smaller mods that don’t contribute to progression (i.e. didn’t see much use in my Modern Moderation Server Play series).

Q: Can the Original Edition load Lite Edition worlds?

A: Yes, the world generation is kept as similar as possible between each edition. Note that if you have Refined Storage autocrafting set up, you may need to reprogram some of your patterns. Obviously, loading an Original Edition world into Lite Edition isn’t advisable.
