Modded for Blockheads 3: Fear the Dark - HD
About
This is a pack designed for as many play styles as possible; we have difficult recipes to progress through for end game items, a quest line to help lead you through the pack, a beautiful world for you to explore, and lots of fancy blocks to build with. We have a couple of mods and resources to make it feel like we're in a newer version Minecraft all the way up to some of 1.16.2, including more blocks, items, and updated textures.
When you join a world you will find yourself in a far more realistic world with trees that have spindly branches, and caves that aren't just tunnels punched into a mountain. The landscape has structures scattered all over for you to explore and discover. We have all gotten on to test various things in the pack and caught ourselves running around the world just exploring all the little things everywhere. On top of the more realistic generation, the dark is far harder to handle, with caves being pitch black and the nights getting darker based on the moon phase. There is a custom built currency system for the pack that encourages trading between players, but also works in single player with market block.
Technology recipes have been fairly overhauled with even chests being somewhat affected. Most end game machines have had netherite added to the crafting requirements, a long with complicated recipes involving what we've dubbed the 'Core System.' We've added 6 different core types with 5 different ranks each, each core involves items from its genre (i.e. the tech core involves technology supplies) and gets progressively more difficult to craft, then these cores are used to make the machines you desire.
With all of these difficulties we have a quest book to help lead you through your hardships, with plans to add more. These quests will also reward you money so that you can buy what you're not focusing on from your friends or the market.
Trouble
We suggest you use at least 6 or 7 gigs worth of ram on this pack, you might be able to survive on less but if you want it to run smoother we suggest you try out our lite version. Don't worry if you plan to play with your friends, you can run a server with this pack on it and both versions of the pack can play on the server.
You might find that pack is either slow to launch, hangs, or crashes altogether on the first launch; this only happens the first time and is significantly better on the second launch. We're working to figure out why this is occurring.
