Welcome to MineColonies And Then Some, I've been testing this modpack for some time now and I think its come out just right!
This MineColonies modpack has a deep focus on advancing the colony while also making sure my laptop doesn't melt.
Storage: Using the simple storage mod you can connect your mass storage system to the colony. This allows you to expand colony wearhouse storage without building more of them. You can also have access to this storage anywhere from a hand held device.
Farming: Caged Mobs and Botany Pots allow you to grow resources and have them directly deposited into your storage system. This allows for efficent farming without too many mobs running around causing lag. Check out my linked video for integration advice.
Enchanting: Eventualy your colonists can use enchanted gear. there are a few tables added to make this process less grindy so you can focus on your colony.
Mining: Once deep enough in the world you will encounter deepslate. Mining this has a chance to drop nuggets of the different ore types. With the drills and hammers added to the game collecting ore has never been easier.
Flower Power: Sometimes your builder will request a flower or specific color of block. Finding enough flowers or dye to fufill their request can be tedius and time consuming. Crafting seed with a flower will make the flower plantable.
I also added a few trinkets and mobs to make exploration a little more interesting. Sometimes dangerous but always rewarding.
