Summary
The main goal of this Modpack is to give players who participate in MagicGum's event every tool they will ever need to participate or make gameplay more fun and easier. As a requirement of MagicGum's MC Events, you must have the SimpleVoiceChat mod, but I created this Modpack as I felt that their tutorial was not quite good at helping players get the same features they wanted with Optifine, and the other main issue is that their tutorial required the player to make the Modpack work, whereas this one works out of the box.
Features
I've included plenty of REAL performance mods which will make a difference including Sodium; a personalized Discord presence so you can show off your cool Modpack; MG EventPack also is also able to join older servers that are not 1.18.1 without having any issues with differences in gameplay; you can also reverify your game (relog) without restarting, and re-opening Minecraft Launcher; world edit is installed, so it makes life easier; I've added a very simple HUD which shows Durability, Potion Effects, food regen amounts, and Items in your Inventory; there are also a few bug fix mods which make PVP and general block interaction easier; and finally I've added a few mods which makes the game a little fancier so you can show off your builds with "/isorender", use shaders, and more; one of my favorite mods is probably PictureSign, it's perfect for memeing on others and leaving very funny images on people's doorstep.
Future Plans & Notes
I really recommend you check out the mod links for mods which you don't understand or want to learn how to use, they are quite handy and is why I've included them here and in the Modpack.
The goal of this Modpack is not only to include the best mods available it, will also be one of my main methods of spreading some of the best mods forked from older versions of MC and Forge that need updating or porting, this is most definitely a long-term goal and I have no clue how long it will take. Of course, these will be open source and posted on CF, GH, and Modrinth as I want to get these into the community; although at this current moment I will most likely release these mods about 1 month or shorter after adding them to this Modpack or any other I make so that I can hopefully further promote the Modpack I put extra effort into by actually developing mods.
