Heritage list

ALSO you can start as a vampire

When playing as a vampire, hunger is gone and replaced with a blood level. The abilities you have depend on your blood level - if you don't have much blood, you'll be weaker than a regular player - but have full blood and you'll be able to overpower anyone.

Become a vampire by finding vampire blood in a dungeon, temple, or from a cleric villager. Then craft a vampire blood injector, and use it on yourself while you have Strength II to become a vampire.

Feed by shift-right-clicking on mobs - you can only feed from some, and some will give you better blood than others. Beware feeding from awake villagers, they may call for Vampire Hunters!

craft a book of blood by combining a book and akward potion!

pros and cons of the Haema mod (vampire):

     + Better night vision

     + Longer attack range

     + Higher max health

     + More strength

     + A short-range teleport/dash

Vampires cannot die unless the killing blow is struck by:

     - Sunlight

     - Lightning

     - Drowning

     - Dragon Breath

     - Wooden Swords

     - Weapons enchanted with Smite

AND these as well:

FLORIAN:
+-feeds using the sun and liquid sunlight, cannot eat normal food
+regenerates health and deals extra damage when wet
     -take 2x fire damage

GLASS GOLEM:
+ immune to most environmental damage sources, starving and fire

+ does not need to eat or breathe

     + deal 2x damage

     + slow passive health regeneration

    +- is transparent

    +- cannot have potion effects

      - food is always at 0
      - take 2x damage

PIGLIN:
+ gold tools and armor last much longer

+ deal +2 damage with gold tools

+ take 8% less damage for every piece of gold armor you wear

     + piglins are neutral

+ deal 2x damage with crossbows

+- zombify outside of the nether, becoming undead and immune to fire, but slower

     - spawn in the nether

     - can only eat meat

     - 2 less hearts

     - becomes weak when near soul fire

Aslo you need to choose a Class:

+ Archer: your projectiles are more accurate; you are slowed less when using a bow

+ Beastmaster: animals you tame gain permanent extra hearts and damage; when you drink a potion the effects also apply to nearby tamed animals

+ Blacksmith: tools and armor crafted by you provide small benefits; you can repair tools and armor more efficiently, both in an anvil and via crafting

+ Cleric: you can double the duration of potions; you are better at enchanting

+ Cook: food you craft provides more nourishment; you gain extra XP from cooking food in a smoker

+ Explorer: you start the game with 9 empty maps, a compass and a clock; you don't exhaust from sprinting

+ Farmer: bone meal is twice as effective when used by you; crops sometimes yield twice the loot when you harvest them

+ Lumberjack: crafting planks from logs gives you two extra planks; you cut down whole trees at once when you use an axe

+ Merchant: when you trade with villagers, their trades aren't used up; wandering traders give you special offers

+ Miner: you break all stone blocks faster; you don't exhaust from mining blocks

+ Nitwityou're not particularly good at anything. :)

+ Rancher: when you breed animals, they sometimes have a chance to produce twins; animals killed by you have a chance of dropping twice as much loot

+ Rogue: your name is never visible through walls; you enter stealth (making less sounds and dealing double damage from behind) after sneaking for 10 seconds

+ Warrior: you deal +1 attack damage with every weapon; you are slowed less when using a shield

be aware if you die its a lot diffrent from the default gam (you'll wil be prompted with a choice between a demon or regular respawn) if yuou choose demon you need to get a other form of life

importent information about Requiem (diffrent respawn mechanic)

First death

Upon dying for the first time in a world, a dialogue will be prompted to the player. In this menu, the player can select whether or not he wants to become a demon, and activate the mod for himself or not. After choosing, the player obtains the "A Devilish Conundrum" and the dialogue will not be prompted anymore.
However, the player can still change their mind by using an Opus Daemonium at a later time.

Soul state

If the player is a demon and dies, their demon souls splits from the host's and escapes the destroyed body.
In this state, the player can easily fly and navigate the world in search of a new host to possess. The player is granted creative fly and can use the sprint key to navigate in the air (similarly to how a player would swim ) and go through one block tall holes.
To possess a new body and leave the soul state, the player must find an undead mob with an inventory and interact with them (a crimson eye should render upon placing the cursor on an entity). The list of the valid undead Vanilla Minecraft mobs is as follows:
- Skeleton
- Stray
- Wither Skeleton
- Zombie
- Husk
- Zombie Villager
- Zombie Pigman
- Drowned

Body transformation after death

In some cases, the player's body might transform after death, giving birth to an undead creature. In those few situations, the player's soul is not expelled from the dying body, and keeps full control of it.
The list of events that lead to a body transformation after death is as follows:
- Dying from a Zombie or a Drowned will turn the player into a Zombie
- Dying in lava while being in the Nether will turn the player into a Wither Skeleton
- Dying from suffocation by sand will turn the player into a Husk
- As Vanilla game behaviour guarantees, staying too long underwater as a Zombie will turn the player into a Drowned

Undead gameplay

After finding a new host or transforming after death, the player is forced to play as an undead creature. Undead players behave very similarly to undead mobs, meaning they both have their strengths and weaknesses. For instance, a Stray player will shoot slowness arrows, but will also burn if exposed to sunlight.
All undead players:
- Are slower than human players
- Do not have hunger, but can sprint nonetheless
- Do not suffocate underwater and cannot swim (unless possessing a Drowned).
- Do not naturally regenerate health. Please read the "Special item uses for Undead" section for information on how to heal in other ways.
- Are ignored by hostile mobs, unless the player attacks them, but will be targeted by golems.
- Do not receive any experience from combat, but will still be able to obtain some from other sources (such as mining, fishing and breeding animals).
- Do not have the strength to swing their sword in a manner to do area damage.
- Receive damage from instant health potion and health from instant damage potions.

Special item uses for Undead

Depending on the undead possessed, the player is able to use items differently from how he would if he was human.

Raw meat ("Zombie Snack")

Raw meat can be eaten by Zombie players (all sub-types included) to regenerate health. A piece of meat regenerates as much health as it would recover food for a human player.

Raw fish ("Drowned Delicacy")

Raw fish can eaten by Drowned exclusively, and serves the same purpose raw meat does.

Bones ("Bony Prosthesis")

Skeletons (all sub-types included) can replace their damaged bones by new ones. To do so, just use a bone and it will regenerate 4 health points (2 hearts).

Milk buckets ("Calcium Goodness")

Skeletons (all sub-types included) can drink milk for extra bone resistance. Drinking a milk bucket grants the player Resistance for 30 seconds.

Bows ("Skeletal Efficiency")

Using a bow as a Skeleton (all sub-types included) has a chance to not consume an arrow when shooting. Resulting arrows are not recoverable.

Tridents ("Drowned Grip")

Throwing a trident as a Drowned has a chance to keep it in hand and duplicate it. Resulting tridents are not recoverable.

Becoming human again

To recover their humanity and get rid of their rotting body, an undead player has to go through the purification progress every Zombie Villager must. By getting the Weakness effect, undead players are able to eat Golden Apples. Doing so results in the player turning back into human form.

Items

Below can be found all the items added by Requiem, their uses and how to obtain them.

Opus Daemonium

The Opus Daemonium is an item that allows a Player to activate or deactivate Requiem's death mechanics (for himself only), by respectively awakening or destroying a Player's demon soul.

Variants

There are 3 variants of Opus Daemoniums:

Neutral

Neutral Opus Daemoniums are the base to obtain the Curse and Cure variants. Using one allows a Player to write a phrase inside it. If the phrase is correct, the book can be signed in exchange of 5 experience levels, and converted into one of the two variants, depending on the content written

Curse

Curse Opus Daemoniums allow a Player to wake their demon. Therefore, when used, they activate the mod’s death mechanics.</p>

To convert a Neutral Opus Daemonium into a Curse one, one must write "Ad vitam aeternam" inside it and sign it.

Cure

Cure Opus Daemoniums allow a Player to destroy their demon. Therefore, when used, they deactivate the mod's death mechanics.

To convert a Neutral Opus Daemonium into a Cure one, one must write "Ad vitam mortale" inside it and sign it.
